This client had a unique nook in their family room. This nook had originally housed a large tube big screen TV. Once removing the old and monstrous TV they were left with a large space for a small TV stand. Coast to Coast Design created the perfect space for media storage and the new TV.

Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in San Francisco

This 1950 South Minneapolis rambler was ready to be opened
up to create a more spacious dining experience. The original
wall seperating a bedroom next to a closed off kitchen was
removed, doubling the overall size and allowing for a shared
kitchen and dining room. A raised bar, cabinetry and range
connect the new dining space to the kitchen allowing for
entertainment and cooking to happen in one central location.
To remain on budget, selections were made with a budget
conscious mind.

On the main level the small family room and spare bedroom were then conjoined to make one large family room. This allows for more seating and allows the homeowners to be able to walk out to their deck directly from the living room rather than crossing through the spare room.

To create a more open plan, the wall separating the main living space from the kitchen and hall were opened. This allowed for a peninsula in the kitchen and more walk space to the rest of the house. In the kitchen a second peninsula was added, creating a c-shaped work space with the sink in the center. The second peninsula is lower than the remaining countertops and provides an eat-in space for breakfast. Custom pendant lights were made to match the red and gold hues in the new Cambria countertops.
