This project was featured in Midwest Home magazine as the winner of ASID Life in Color. The addition of a kitchen with custom shaker-style cabinetry and a large shiplap island is perfect for entertaining and hosting events for family and friends. Quartz counters that mimic the look of marble were chosen for their durability and ease of maintenance. Open shelving with brass sconces above the sink create a focal point for the large open space.
Putting a modern spin on the traditional nautical/coastal theme was a goal. We took the quintessential palette of navy and white and added pops of green, stylish patterns, and unexpected artwork to create a fresh bright space. Grasscloth on the back of the built in bookshelves and console table along with rattan and the bentwood side table add warm texture. Finishes and furnishings were selected with a practicality to fit their lifestyle and the connection to the outdoors. A large sectional along with the custom cocktail table in the living room area provide ample room for game night or a quiet evening watching movies with the kids.

This kitchen remodel is part of a massive renovation to an Ann Arbor victorian home that is over 100 years old. Natural cherry cabinets and rich granite counters blend to create a timeless space that functions well today.
Inset doors, shaker style, Cabinets by Graber were the foundation of this successful remodel.

North and south exposures in this 3000 square foot loft in Tribeca allowed us to line the south facing wall with two guest bedrooms and a 900 sf master suite. The trapezoid shaped plan creates an exaggerated perspective as one looks through the main living space space to the kitchen. The ceilings and columns are stripped to bring the industrial space back to its most elemental state. The blackened steel canopy and blackened steel doors were designed to complement the raw wood and wrought iron columns of the stripped space. Salvaged materials such as reclaimed barn wood for the counters and reclaimed marble slabs in the master bathroom were used to enhance the industrial feel of the space.

Framed by a large, arched wall, the kitchen is the heart of the home. It is where the family shares its meals and is the center of entertaining. The focal point of the kitchen is the 6'x12' island, where six people can comfortably wrap around one end for dining or visiting, while the other end is reserved for food prep. Nestled to one side, there is an intimate wet bar that serves double duty as an extension to the kitchen and can cater to those at the island as well as out to the family room. Extensive work areas and storage, including a scullery, give this kitchen over-the-top versatility. Designed by the architect, the cabinets reinforce the Craftsman motif from the legs of the island to the detailing in the cabinet pulls. The beams at the ceiling provide a twist as they are designed in two tiers allowing a lighting monorail to past between them and provide for hidden lighting above to reflect down from the ceiling.

We put in an extra bathroom with the extension. We designed this vanity unit, which was custom made, and added in large baskets to hold towels and linens. We love using wall lights in bathrooms to add some warmth and charm.

Our clients, a young family wanted to remodel their two story home located in one of the most exclusive and beautiful areas of Miami. Mediterranean style home builded in the 80 in need of a huge renovation, old fashioned kitchen with light pink sinks, wall cabinets all over the kitchen and dinette area.
We begin by demolishing the kitchen, we opened a wall for a playroom area next to the informal dining; easy for parents to supervise the little. A formal foyer with beautiful entrance to living room. We did a replica of the main entrance arch to the kitchen entrance so there is a continuity from exterior to interior.

While the existing upstairs sitting room was spacious and welcoming, with a panoramic view of Golden Gate Bridge, Ghirardelli Square and Alcatraz, the sole bathroom on the floor and an adjacent dressing room, situated in the center, were dark and claustrophobic, with no view. We proposed enclosing a small deck to create a bright 90 sq. ft. en-suite master bath, a new dressing area, and a powder room accessible from the hallway.
The challenge was to make a room feel big without the benefit of a view. We saw this project as nestling a master bath in the trees, playing with the variegated light in the foliage and creating an indoor/outdoor shower experience.
Blue sky and lush trees are visible from the shower through a large picture window, while light filtered by the greenery splashes over the counter through a long, low view window. A new skylight straddles the master bath and the powder room. Transom glass around the perimeter of the powder room allows glimpses of light bouncing through both the bath and the powder room as well as the new dressing area.

This kitchen was totally transformed from the existing floor plan. I used a mix of horizontal walnut grain with painted cabinets. A huge amount of storage in all the drawers as well in the doors of the cooker hood and a little bread storage pull out that is usually wasted space. My signature corner drawers this time just having 2 drawers as i wanted a 2 drawer look all around the perimeter. You will see i even made the sink doors "look" like 2 drawers. There is a designated cooking area which my client loves with all his knives/spices/utensils etc all around him. I reduced the depth of the cabinets on one side to still allow for my magic number pass through space, this area has pocket doors that hold appliances keeping them hidden but accessible. My clients are thrilled with the finished look.
