This 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white.
The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture.
The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. Every room is filled with books, and shelves, many made by the homeowner.

High quality bamboo panels help to transform your indoor or outdoor space into a tropical paradise. Use bamboo wall panels to cover walls, ceilings, partitions, and entryways. These attractive furniture accents are suited for any home or business striving to achieve island flair. You'll find bamboo panels with distinctive patterns, weaves, and colors that add a unique look to any home or business. Although these fine bamboo products are available in a variety of colors and designs, you can also use the stain of your choice to create a different pattern or color scheme as you change your room's decor.
Bamboo strips are precisely milled and applied to a thin fabric backing with non toxic glue to create a seamless bamboo wall covering. Use them as a bamboo wall or bamboo ceiling covering to create a pattern throughout a room, hallway or backyard oasis. Bamboo paneling is a flexible material that can be applied to concave or convex surfaces, flat walls and ceilings, round or square columns, and it installs easily using nails, glue, or staples. Restaurants use bamboo paneling to create beautiful counter and tabletops by applying resin to their surface.
Bamboo panels, lend an exciting look to any commercial, retail, or hospitality environment.
