“Hello; I found myself needing a contractor to handle work on my Park Station condominium located on the first floor corner of the building. The problem I had was during the winter months the bedroom was very, very much colder than the rest of the condo. Entering from the living room into the bedroom was like walking outdoors. When reaching to touch the sheet rock attached along the bedroom walls the cold could be perceived to radiate from the surface. Another issue that didn’t help was the original window and slider door were simple single pane glass. These accounted for some inefficiency by themselves. Due to the overwhelming heat loss the electric bill would soar to a maximum of $498.00 dollars during the winter months. The electric heater ran almost constantly and the airtight wood burning stove hardly seemed to contribute any benefit. The condo is on the first floor and receives no heating assistance like upper floors do by reaping the heat from below. It wasn’t without some trepidation that I began a search for a competent general contractor as I reside in New Jersey. I was referred to Sherman Hayden Custom Homes by a fellow condo owner who completed a full renovation of his condo down to the studs. I decided to have Sherman Hayden start the project as I had a solid referral. I was very happy that I did. They evaluated the main issue of heat loss. It turned out that there was almost no insulation between the outside walls and the sheet rock within. There was some original foam sheeting which had deteriorated greatly over the years during the original construction of the building back in the early eighties. Also the exterior walls are brick with metal studs against the brick. It became clear that the studs absorbed the cold from the brick and transmitted the cold to the attached sheet rock. Thus the wall functioned as a radiator of cold making the room virtually impossible to heat. Sherman Hayden Custom Homes had an architect evaluate and approve the scope of work and handled all of the permitting processes for Park City. I was able to follow the progression of construction from New Jersey via photos and data on a computer program called “Builder Trend.” This is also useful to retain a visual record of improvements in the event of a sale in the future. Property contents were protected with plastic prior to demolition. The new double pane window and slider doors was installed. The inner walls were stripped to the existing studs then new interspaced bumped out studs were installed with appropriate insulation and new sheet rock. Once finish work was completed everything was painted and the furniture replaced. After they finished Sherman Hayden had asked me to make a punch list when in town of any issues with the work and they would take care of it. I arrived at my condo when all work was completed for a two week stay. Once there for about ten days I called to let them know that after inspecting everything closely there was nothing needing any adjustments and a punch list wouldn’t be necessary. I thanked everyone that I had contact with at the construction company for a job well done. If any of my fellow owners or anyone else needed renovations to a condo or home I would lobby heavily for them to use Sherman Hayden Custom Homes for a problem free project of impeccable quality. “Jorgenson Builders constructed our new home which was completed in January 2010. Our home was completed on time and within our budget. We appreciated the advice and counsel given to us by Jake. He had innovate ideas and implemented small things that made a huge difference in our home. Things that we would have not ever thought of on our own. We love our finish work in the home. It is top quality and beautiful. He is available and returned calls and answered concerns in a timely manner. The subcontractors also were also very high quality and we felt like they had a vested interested in our home. We have recommended Jorgenson Builders many times and will continue to do so to our family and friends!”

“As an interior designer it is important to have a great partnership with the contractor on any project, many times the best solutions come from a team effort. I enjoyed working with Aaron from Centurion Homes for a remodel project in Provo Canyon for a fun young family. The project was very unique as the cabin was small in square footage but big in potential. Aaron had the vision to be able to see the potential this little cabin had. I enjoyed working with him as we had to many times strategize and coordinate our efforts to get to the best design, cost and effective solution for this unique remodel project. I would recommend him for any remodel project that needs a vision and attention to detail! Great work Aaron!”

“Fine Construction excavated and landscaped our back yard to make an exceptional usable space for our family for personal use and for our gatherings. Bob Fine, the owner, and David Fine, his son and our project manager, were a pleasure to work with. We expanded the scope of the project soon after they started and that was not an issue for them. David had superb design vision. The design and implementation was exceptional. We cannot recommend Fine Construction highly enough. They deserve 10 stars. Honest, trustworthy, reasonable prices and a commitment to finish what they started. We had no problems getting everything finished properly.”

“Having been very pleased with our new home, it is my pleasure to review the fine work completed by Kent Woolstenhulme and his construction company—No Worries Construction. On time and under budget! Those two very important things happened with our home, but there is more such as high quality and attention to detail that must be highlighted to provide a just review of my experience with No Worries. Here is a partial list: 1. Changes on the fly: Kent was a pleasure to work with and without hesitation accommodated changes in design. In one case he added windows that I required even though framing had been completed. 2. Competent, professional subs: Kent’s sub-contractors were likewise pleasant to work with, and likewise showed extreme pride in their work. The final product from plumbing to painting; from site plan to roof top is a delight to look at and live in. 3. Work and cash flow: Work flowed seamlessly. Inspections happened on time. As teams finished up their sub-contracts they were paid expeditiously and subsequent teams appeared on the job in a finely orchestrated sequence—and this, despite supply chain constraints and peak job demands elsewhere. 4. Follow-up: On several occasions during construction Kent reminded me to be sure to notify him if something needed to be adjusted or even re-done. We’ve lived in the place for a year now, and I have not found a single thing requiring his or his subs’ return to the site. Bottom line: We would hire Kent anytime, anyplace.”
