Jerry was unbelievable in his helping us through this long and arduous process. He had an uncanny ability to really understand our practice and to design our state-of-the-art office to the point where we still get compliments on a daily basis of how it looks. His workflow design from the employees view is equally as impressive. “"After a long search we found Jane Ann. It was our lucky day! We were in hopes of designing a home you didn't see in St. Louis everyday. What we wanted was more of a European look, something you would find in the countryside of Italy or France or in Carmel, California. Jane Ann had not done a home exactly like we had envisioned, but what she had done, were unusual homes, that answered the specific vision of her clients. By looking at her portfolio, we knew she didn't have one style, but the ability to be OPEN MINDED and to LISTEN to client's ideas and to be able to bring those ideas to life. Jane Ann is the consummate professional. She is a great listener, practical in her approach, a great designer, and a good referee when two spouses don't see eye-to-eye. She has the ability to let you know your ideas have been heard, and that she will do all she can to make your vision a reality. “Donna, Allan, and their architectural support team are amazingly and refreshingly personal, creative, professional, and responsive. They were able to take an old 70s ranch with all its oddities and convert it into a new craftsman style home. They listened carefully over many conferences to come up with a creative design, worked within our budget to get us what we needed, revised and revised patiently to get it perfect, and then followed up with on the job supervision and sometimes substantive changes on the fly, including invaluable help with the governmental review process. They all worked so well with our construction crew, who had their cell numbers for on the spot questions about plans or problems, of which, one can imagine, there were many. Thanks to Donna's architectural design (the neighbors are truly in awe of the front elevation and interior transformation), Allan's meticulously drafted plans (the city review board and fire teams said they had never seen such meticulous detail), and the respectful collaboration with all involved (we are all still talking to each other after what ended up being a tedious, four year project), we now have the transformed home we wanted when we started: solid as a rock and nearly soundproof, aesthetically consistent with the older parts of the house, and the openness, light, and functionality of a new home, even if it all drove Donna and Allan crazy sometimes trying to get it for us! They did it all with a smile, and with exceptional professionalism. They certainly went the distance for us, and are just an awesome team. They have my highest recommendation as an architectural firm.”

“My wife and I were very pleased with the design that Curtiss provided for our 2150 sqft infill home in Webster Groves, MO. Curtiss listened to our needs (even following my wife's Pintrest account), visited the site and surrounding neighborhoods, researched local requirements, and then QUICKLY synthesized all the information into plan and elevations that we could take to the architectural review board (ARB). We were able to complete the ARB review in one meeting, and then Curtiss worked with our contractor to develop the final contract documents. Now we have a quality, energy efficient, home with lots of natural light: at a price we could afford. We have been living in our home for a few months, and we love it! Curtiss is a super hard worker. He met our project's tight deadlines, without complaint or unexpected charges. The price we paid for his services was fair. In every project there are things that one would do differently. But, one thing that we would do the same is pick Curtiss as our architect. Thanks, Curtiss!”

“Robert Czerniewski and I are co-owners of McMillan Construction Group, Inc., a general contracting construction company working mainly in the St. Louis metropolitan area. We recently worked with Mitchell Wall and Associates on a large residential project as a team and our experience was probably as good as a contractor -architect relationship can be. MItchell Wall provided the working plans, specifications, construction administration services as well as necessary problem solving dialog throughout the 14 months of renovation / construction. Their availability and attention to the project was thoroughly consistent and their professionalism was evident at all levels of involvement throughout the project life. The clients have been completely happy with the results as have we. In short, it could not have been a better experience and I would recommend them to anyone in need of comprehensive architectural services. Steve McMillan”

“Jim and Jen did an amazing job on a shoestring budget. They took a 3 bedroom house that was horribly outdated and created a home that was worth almost twice its original value. Their hard work, interior design knowledge and professionalism surpassed my expectations. I would hire them again in a minute. I have recommended them to my friends and family who are looking at building a new home or plan on doing an addition or upgrade. I have uploaded before and after pictures of the kitchen.”

“You would be foolish not to use this firm for your custom home! We had a good idea what we wanted for our new home, but we couldn’t figure out the details. Ed Stevens Architects ran with the concept and created a gorgeous, custom, yet functional home. They suggested thoughtful details like a hidden pantry and maneuvered through city permitting (our municipality is known for being difficult) without transferring the headache to us. We were a little crunched on time, and they moved swiftly but did not miss a detail. Their promptness in communication was a huge plus. They were on site during the early phases of construction and caught issues before they became bigger problems. Thanks to our architects, there is nothing we wished we had done differently with the home.”
