He has a very keen eye for the crisp lines and modern details that make his projects really pop. I've always thought of myself as one of the more pragmatic architects, while Justin is much more the dreamer and visionary, and it shows in his beautiful and original designs. He's one of the few architects or designers I know who is putting out really high end modern design in the Pittsburgh region, and it's a truly refreshing experience compared to so many of the cookie cutter suburban developments that continually take place. Justin is willing to take a risk on good design and urban infill projects, and it's paying off!”

“Matt is great to work with! He came into the disaster zone that was my first complete property overhaul. His vision paralleled mine and he was able to give advice on design ideas I had not previously considered. For example, I knew I wanted to open up my kitchen to flow into the dining room but Matt had a brilliant idea to that allowed me to do this while also creating more counter space AND a pantry in my tiny kitchen while still feeling very open. With Matt, we also created a whole new bathroom and expanded existing bedrooms by removing one half side of a cape cod roof and replacing it with a dormer that ran the length of the house. It added over 400sq/ft of living space to the house. He was very responsive to any concerns I had and provided me with all the information I needed about my reconstruction design. Matt was available when I needed him and met all timelines. I am more than please with the results and will definitely use Matt on future projects!”

“We loved our neighborhood but our house no longer met our families needs. So after looking at new houses and neighborhoods we decided to remodel our existing house. But we didn't want our house to look remodeled or added on to. Working with Judy and our contractor we accomplished turning our existing home into a new home. A second floor was added with a master bedroom and bath and a family room was added to the first floor. Our kitchen was updated and expanded. The appearance of our home was also very important to us. My wife and I had very strong opinions of what the house should look like when it was done. Judy help us create a beautiful home, the house of our dreams. And all this was done within our budget.”

“Maria was the architect for our renovation of a historic warehouse bay into the office for our new self storage business. She had to deal with architectural challenges in the conversion as the old space didn't automatically meet our needs. There were more challenges as our sub-contractors original specs wouldn't work in practice. Maria jumped up and took care of these problems often before we knew they were problems. As the founders of our business were all "design challenged", it was great to have an architect with great interior design skills as well. “We had Heather Wildman design and implement a large addition/renovation to our house that included a larger kitchen and a series of outdoor rooms that included a porch/set of fireplaces/terrace. Heather is a wonderful architect and listens to her clients so that she can create solutions to how your space should work for you. She has a way of articulating how we wanted to live and brought that to the design process. Our space is beautiful, modern yet warm and inviting, and has changed the way we live and use our home. She is very collaborative and thoughtful and listens to what you need while making suggestions as to solutions you may not have considered. She also managed our construction team and was meticulous about details in the construction that we would have never thought of such as reinforcing the floors for an exceptionally large island we were bringing in. She is well connected to expert craftsman when custom work is needed (thank you Chuck for our beautiful windows). I recommend Heather highly and believe that Wildman Chalmers is the premier architectural firm in Pittsburgh.”

“I hired Mr. Calisti to design an addition for my 100 year-old residence. He had very creative solutions to problems and his work was impressive to say the least. Every detail was well thought out. Lee developed a great relationship with our contractor and was always avaliable to answer any questions that arose on the jobsite. I felt that Lee had a great knowledge base about the newest building concepts and was able to incorporate these ideas into the addittion without affecting the original historic aspect of the house. I highly recommend Mr. Calisti to anyone looking to use architectural services.””
