“Archer and Buchanan drew up the architectural plans to renovate and build an extension to a Pennsylvania farmhouse. They collaborated throughout the project with the builders. They offered expertise in maintaining historic features whilst modernizing the property. The outcome was just what we wanted. It was a great experience.”
Roost Architecture, Inc.

“Hired Roost Architecture to design an addition and remodel to our 24 year old home. We had a specific vision and "theme" for the project. Josh was a great listener and converted our ideas to drawings and specs.(while recommending some of his own ideas), that enabled our GC to build exactly what we had in mind. He was very helpful in the bid and GC selection process and helped us through a couple of sticky spots during the project. We are thrilled with the results. Josh answered questions thoughtfully and was responsive to e-mails and phone calls, as needed. We would highly recommend Josh.”

“Joe Mackin and his firm designed us the most beautiful new house. He designed an 1800's style, stone farm house look that is amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. People have been to the house and can't decide if it's just an old house that was added on to, or a new house. We have worked with a handful of architects over the years, and Joe, by far, has been the BEST. We also did not use a builder, my husband an were the general contractors of the house, which is approximately 7,000 sq. feet.”

“We discovered Laura Thomas of MelvilleThomas by seeing the great range of work & styles profiled on Houzz.com. We were so pleased to learn she was located nearby & understood the area when generating designs. Laura is an incredibly creative architect(and we have worked with others far less so in the past) who was very responsive to our questions, comments, and timetable. She took the time to try to understand both our needs & limitations, as well as our schedule. Laura came up with not one, but two, well thought out conceptual designs for our project. She was helpful in suggesting contruction & real estate professionals to help us achieve/evaluate our various concerns. We found Laura's artistic bent to be very useful for us, as non-architect consumers, in visualizing her design ideas. A picture is worth 1000 words! While we ultimately chose not to build, we would not have been able to make an informed decision without Laura's assistance. We do have her lovely conceptual drawings should we(or a future buyer) wish to go forward with the major addtion we had been contemplating in the future.”

“We hired Jeff to develop a design for the remodeling of the downstairs of our then 80-year-old house. He did a superb job of designing a new entry, rearranging the flow of the house, and integrating the best aspects of the house's existing features, Jeff was attentive to our needs and desires. He as also cognizant of our budget. Our neighborhood organization has an annual contest that awards prizes for the best designed home improvements, and Jeff's redesign was selected as the best for that year. We subesquently had Jeff design a replacedment garage and then design the remodeling of our upstairs rooms. On all our projects, Jeff was involved from the design to the construction supervision. He did a fabulous job, and we would recommend him highly.”
Foley Hillestad Architecture

“Stephen Foley was our architect for our 2013 remodel of our Mahoney cape in Bryn Mawr. My wife and I are still in awe of the master suite Stephen was able to design from a basic attic space using only a few perfectly-placed dormers on the existing roof line. We gave Stephen a long list of wants for this suite (i.e. lots of closet space, laundry room, large stall shower, tub, separate his and hers vanities and private toilet room). He got it all in in a fashion that not only feels spacious and comfortable, but that allows for the dormers on the front of the house to add symmetry and aesthetic appeal . At one point, my wife and I wanted to go back to the drawing-board due to ceiling height concerns but Stephen pushed us to go with his original design. We are glad we trusted him and his advice because the finished product exceeds our expectations. He also did a great job with a kitchen redesign, open foyer and space reconfiguration on the first floor of our house. He was also ready, willing and able to help us with selections and other design choices. Stephen was recommended to us by our builder, Ranieri and Kerns, and was also the lowest-price provider of the other architect firms we met with, so a win-win. We highly recommend him, thanks Stephen.”

“I had my kitchen remodeled by Hp Builders. The entire experience was amazing. Terry, Hp Builder's owner, made the difference! Having someone with his knowledge and experience with you while you shop, decide, and create made the project a great success. Needing to stay in my budget was a must and Hp Bulders did that by keeping my allowances in my price range, reviewed cost as we went along, created a payment schedule that kept the job moving and affordable. I found that quality of the work was great but also the the creativity. Both Terry and his crew listened to my vision and shared their experiences which created an awesome kitchen. I am planning to live happily-ever-after in my dream kitchen.”
