“Ken designed a custom home for us in 2015. We’d never built before so we were not sure what to expect. Ken was recommended to us by general contractor, Dean Adams. The decision to work with Ken is a great reflection on Dean and one that really paid dividends for us. Ken is extremely humble and thoughtful. We started with a blank sheet of paper and list of “requirements”. Ken listened to our desires and helped them come to life in a design that fit us perfectly. We’ve lived in our house for about 8 months and we have not found one foundational design element we would change. The use of space is super efficient and the room proportions are spot on. As with all projects we did run into one significant bump in the road. Ken was extremely professional in helping evaluate options and navigate around the bump. In the end, our initial high level of respect for Ken (and Dean) grew as we worked through the issue. The final result was a home that we love!”

He walked us through every part of the design process and what he came up with surpassed our dreams. Anytime we called with a question he would answer or meet with us. “Our project was an almost total tear down of our family cottage and design and construction of an updated home. This entailed salvaging certain materials and items in the cottage that had sentimental value to us and maintaining and incorporating the salvaged items into our design. The process started with a written document from us on what we wanted to see when we walked through our new home and ended with the realization of our dream. The quality of work was excellent from all the sub-contractors, the schedule was maintained and, while we went over budget, we got exactly what we wanted with few surprises. The entire process was smooth and skills of all those involved was excellent. We have recommended Whiteford Associates to several others, some who used your services as a result.”

He was extremely attentive to what we wanted and amazingly creative in delivering beyond anything we asked.
