He does barn wood walls, custom made barn doors, installs beams, fireplace mantels and even builds custom countertops or furniture. “I've admired Jamie Story's work for some time and when my husband and I decided we needed to have some wall decor that was a little more mature than framed posters, we found this glorious masterpiece by Jamie Story...It was fate that we got it, and I still find lovely new details to wonder about every time I look at this painting. I love that it's painted on a panel of Ampersand Encausticbord which gives it an interesting texture and enhances the iridescent "micro-pigment" ink and acrylic paint. Story's technique with these paints and inks combined on the wood panel creates these cool, tentacle-like clusters of color. The finished piece is truly amazing and gazing at it has become somewhat of a spiritual practice (however corny that may sound, it's true). It has so many dimensions, so much power in each rich layer of color, it provides me with a meditative-type of refuge. I am surprised (yet honored) that mine is the first review for Jamie Story's Fine Art Paintings and I highly recommend her work for anyone who feels compelled to display really beautiful art in their home (or office) that will invite the onlooker to connect with a beautifully hypnotic piece of art. Each time a new visitor sees our painting they compliment and ask about it. I am happy to have something so magical lighting up my bedroom. Plus, I love feeling so financially savvy as to invest in something that will likely be worth millions someday...As my painting has already become my most priceless possession -- if one can possess a piece of fine art? More likely, it's the other way around...”

“Jose created a beautiful mosaic of Texas wildflowers which is incorporated into a water feature for our swimming pool. To put it mildly, we are delighted with the mosaic and enjoy it every day. Jose was a delight to work with; I had not previously commissioned such a work and so was especially appreciative that he was so willing to listen closely to our desires and work hard to give us exactly what we wanted. Throughout, he was professional, pleasant and worked well with the pool contractor and other subs. We could not possibly be more pleased with the entire experience!”
