Marcus and his team were great to work with. Marcus understood our budget and our must-haves. He helped maintain a flow between the master bedroom/bathroom addition and the older part of the house seamlessly. Marcus was easy to work with and explained each step along the way from the architect planning through the construction. He worked around our need to live in the house during the project. The project took 6 months and we truly feel we have a beautiful space in the end and have recommended his company twice.

Marcus designed our brand new 3600 sqft single family house (already under construction) located in the heart of Silicon Valley. As a real estate development company, we worked with many architects, Marcus is one of the best. In addition to his expertise in design, Marcus has very strong background in construction, which allows him to design not only beautiful, functional but also economical houses. Marcus takes good care of us, he is always open for discussion and very responsive when we need him. If you are looking for a great designer for your projects, Marcus is the person to go!

Marcus and Jeremy are probably two of the nicest people in the business. They are a one stop shop for everything, and helped coordinate among all of the different needs for our remodel. Marcus was kind enough to turn around our remodel request very quickly despite the holiday season. His brother Jeremy was great at following up with the city on permits, etc and helped keep our project on track. Marcus has great design ideas and helps think of everything needed to make a house feel like home. Thank you Daltons !

8/1/2018 Marcus Dalton Design was great in helping get our design plans for our addition to our house. We added on approximately 500 square feet to our house. The initial process with Marcus was excellent. He helped us come up with a great design and was very patient and understanding when we asked for several revisions. Marcus was very professional during this first stage. He then became very busy and was unable to respond to our questions as quickly as we would have liked, until he brought in his wonderful brother Jeremy Dalton. Jeremy is excellent at communicating and getting things done. He is very knowledgeable and if he had any questions he would quickly ask Marcus and would get back in no time. Overall I am very happy with Marcus Dalton Design and the City of San Mateo had absolutely no issues with his design either. I would definitely recommend this company for a professional and extremely cost effective design plan for your remodel or addition.

Marcus was really great to work with, and really on the ball. He did a wonderful job on our house. He also gave great insight in places we thought we had thought through. We would definitely hire him again!

Marcus Dalton Design = CUSTOMER FIRST. MDD is the only outfit I will ever use for design / draft work. Most importantly, from direct experience, MDD is a customer-centric firm that lives up to their reputation. At every twist and turn, Marcus and Jeremy were there to help guide my wife and me - and the non-builder we are - through a set of extremely complex regulations and design nuances (including a multi unit property). At no point did I ever feel that I was left alone or in the dark. Need a call? Late at night?...These guys go out of there way to make you feel like all their attention is on you. You combine that level of service with the technical know how to get a permit across the line and you can't go wrong. Whether you speak with City personnel, engineering folks, or myself...we'll all tell you the same thing...I give Marcus and his team my highest recommendation.

Coordinated an appointment. He never showed up. No response to my email and phone calls after the missed appointment. This was a big waste of my time as I had to take time off of work just to meet him in the middle of the week.

Marcus came through a referral from a friend who was happy with his work and price. We had water damage from an overflowing tub upstairs, so we had to repair a ceiling on the first floor and bathroom on the second floor. Since we were already repairing, we decided to remodel and create a new bedroom out of existing space and remodel our master bathroom. While all projects have their snags and remodeling while living in your home is nothing to take lightly, every time I felt we hit a setback, Marcus and his team were there the next day (or the same day!) to resolve any issues. Their honesty and transparency and commitment to their customer's happiness was always very obvious. I plan to remodel more in our house in the next few years and would absolutely use Marcus and team again. Thank you Marcus for the last few months of fun! And look forward to working with you again.

Absolutely fantastic on all levels I've tried a number of different drafters / designers, and I find Marcus FAR superior - and plan on continuing to work with him on future projects I may have (The only limitation may be his time & capacity!) He has the expertise, professionalism, communication skills, honesty, and service mentality that I would expect of top firms - Expertise: Not just in design but VERY experienced in construction (which is key) - Professionalism / service: Really thinks on behalf of the client, which means he thinks about your project and needs as a whole - not just about "completing his drawings" - Honesty: In all interactions, engenders trust, I think of him as not just a drafter / designer but as an advisor - Communication: Super professional, on time (which seems rare in the construction / build space for some reason ... ) - Takes ownership Couldn't recommend him more highly ...

Marcus helped us with a bathroom and kitchen remodel. He went above and beyond the work we brought him in for by finding a few contractors to do the work that did great jobs. He is very knowledgeable and left my wife and I feeling very comfortable going to him with any questions or concerns we had.

Marcus helped us design and draw out the plans for a 2 phase remodel and addition to our home. Early in the planning stage, he was able to detect a major measuring mistake that we made and helped correct it quickly. He has a lot of wonderful ideas which he incorporated into the design. We had a great room and he helped think through and proposed ideas on how to demarcate the areas. He knew that we wanted a more modern style and he suggested ways to modernize the space. Marcus also worked with the city to meet all their requirements and the plans were approved with minimal changes. It was a pleasure to work with Marcus and have already referred him to our friends.
