“When you think of having contractors at your house over a span of a few months, the initial gut reaction is to just run. However, John Romans Construction and his crew made for a pleasant as possible experience. From beginning to end, John was helpful in navigating the process - from obtaining necessary city variance approvals, to the final details of the outdoor kitchen, and even a little consulting/advice on items outside of his scope. As with any project, we of course came across various unexpected obstacles. That being said, we truly appreciated John’s level of explanation and communication. He thoroughly explained what was happening and had various solutions, pros/cons, and estimated costs ready to go to avoid any delays. As a customer who has dealt with various contractors - we’ve learned how important and essential that communication can be to ensure the project is completed just the way we want. The craftsmanship is second to none. John and his team expected nothing short of A+ work from themselves down to the smallest of details and we will use them for any additional projects we may venture into in the future. “The entire process from inception, design, demolition, renovation to completion was educational and exciting. The project included renovation of four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and an office/computer room downstairs. Paul Golich (design), Chris Allan (project manager), and all JS Brown employees were professional, responsive to our concerns, and a pleasure with whom to work. “From start to finish, Ryan was awesome. I had interviewed a few contractors and was less than pleased with their ideas and recommendations. Ryan brought a fresh sets of eyes to this very extensive project and was able to offer me exactly what I wanted. This was a total gut job and the results are excellent. I am very pleased to say the least. Ryan was very accommodating and offered solutions to anything I threw at him - which was a lot. The compliments from neighbors, friends etc. have been overwhelming. I would definitely hire Ryan again and highly recommend his company to anyone contemplating a renovation. I could not have asked for a nicer person as a contractor.”

“We bought a house 6 months ago that Ross builders had done some extensive remodeling that is just exquisite! We wanted to extend the kitchen to add an open concept family room. So we hired Jim Ross builders. The new room is just lovely!!!!!! Jim Ross was great to work with. He is professional, timely and is so knowledgeable. His deadlines were met and didn't go over budget. He was very accommodating. His employees were respectful, hardworking and really did a great job. Thanks for a great room Jim Ross, where many memories will be made.”

The kitchen renovation is now dragging on to nearly a year in the works. The quality is top notch, but the delays in work are frustrating.”

“Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services, an non-profit 501(c)3 organization in Columbus, Ohio serving the refugee and immigrant community was wishing to have conference room space in its Mount Vernon location. The dream became a reality with Transform Construction in December of 2013. Ronnie's team went above and beyond to help us in the remodel. The project consisted of tearing down walls, moving phone lines and drinking fountains and repairing the ceiling. The job was completed on time and of high quality. The most rewarding part of the project was having "New Americans" create a space for other "New Americans". We use the space on a daily basis and can't imagine the way it looked before!”
