“We worked closely with Bob Shelton and his team for a renovation of our outdoor space which included restructuring our deck, concrete work, outdoor lighting, and creating a modern privacy fence. He was one of the only contractors that we had met that was on time for every single appointment we had and he was always well prepared. After discussion of our ideas, he completely understood our style and our needs. He sent us a quote by the next day. He always kept us updated with the timeline and was available to us when we had questions and/or concerns. The carpenters on the job were courteous and professional and were able to answer our questions along the way. They also were on time everyday and worked extremely hard to complete. The work was completed on time and on budget for us. We love the way everything turned out and we can't recommend this company enough! We will definitely be working with Shelton in the future.”

“Connie answered our call and arrived the following week to meet us, learn of our plans for a kitchen makeover on our 1931 era Cape Cod home. With a rather small area and very little cabinetry, some drastic changes were needed to not only add more storage and nice work area, but also to update and bring the space and functionality up to current code compliance as well as improving the overall appearance. Any questions (and there were many) or changes we discussed, Connie was able to guide us through and provide reasonable and attractive solutions. Concerns with regards to cabinetry, construction or detailing costs were always addressed within 1 day. We had not less than 4 on site meetings before work began and once the demo began, she kept in touch with the contractor and stopped by frequently. This was the first time we have worked with a designer and were very pleased with the accuracy in measurements - the orders for cabinetry, crown molding countertops arrived on time and exactly as needed. Connie worked to find items, such as cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures and ceramic tile that suited our budget. We would heartily recommend this designer for any home improvement project.”

“We engaged EngineHouse to design and build a shelving room-divider as the final phase of a kitchen remodel. The remodel removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen of a 1901 Victorian house and we wanted the divider to serve a dual purpose: 1. provide storage for plates/dishes and 2. create a bridge between the old and new aesthetics. We are designers ourselves so we wanted the shelves to look as if they 'belonged' to the house but we were open to the use of unusual, industrial materials. Aside from discussing number of shelves and the doorway openings, we pretty much gave them free reign and they didn't disappoint. Through every stage of the process, from concept through materials presentation and fabrication they were absolutely wonderful to work with. The estimate was accurate and we couldn't believe how meticulous they were in building the piece and looking after our house during the construction (which was brief and efficient). Everyone who comes into our home raves about the room divider. We couldn't be happier and will work with them again!”
