I stumbled upon West Wood Architectural Surfaces at the A&D Center in NYC. What a find. They made custom floors for my new home and they are beautiful. There are so many choices and their products are gorgeous. Truly a custom job. I chose the rift cut which is very uniform and contemporary and I chose a stain that is very natural. Everyone was so knowledgeable and easy to work with, especially Anthony Tomasi. I highly recommend this company. It turned out just like I imagined.

Nick and Peter West were eager to work with us to fine tune the perfect color for this project . They went above and beyond with multiple samples and design ideas. We used various size wood widths in a few chevron patterns . We were also pleased with the wood ceiling and flooring steps that were part if the project .

When shopping around for new wood flooring in my Remsenburg NY house renovation , I wasn’t satisfied with anything that the big box flooring places carried. Until I came across West Wood flooring. If you like Elle Decor and Architectural Digest, then this is your flooring source. In addition to the beautiful flooring they finish right here in Calverton, NY to the creative talents of the owner , Peter West, and the excellent customer service provided by Anthony , you will be very happy with them

We are in the process of a gut renovation for a 2/2 cooperative in NYC. Ironically, West Wood (WW) was the very first floor showroom we visited. There was a sample that we initially liked but it was the wrong color. So, we set off to explore the world of wood flooring for almost 11 months. WW stayed in touch with us in a non-threatening and non-aggressive way. We liked them and their approach very much. They were also quite knowledgeable. We were not and needed to do our own due diligence to understand our options. Long story short, we ended up exactly where we started, with the very first sample, only with a slight color alteration. WW listened and created a few variations until the final version was selected. Our floor is just beautiful and is exactly what we had imagined. Thank you WW and the WW team who guided us!!

West Wood went above and beyond for our project. From the very beginning they were responsive, responsible, professional and highly competent. They were even able to safely work on our project during the pandemic and met our very ambitious timelines for completion so that we could get back home. Thank you Anthony and Peter!

When we were first looking for new wood flooring for our renovation, I knew that I wanted quality, something upscale and an American made product. When I was done with my research , I decided to use a Long Island, NY flooring company called West Wood Flooring. From working with the owner, Peter West, to our rep Anthony Tamasi, we were given their full attention for every detail and the flooring , which was produced just for us, was installed on time . My new wood flooring is absolutely gorgeous , not like anything that one finds in a huge flooring store.

From sales through installation, West was a pleasure to deal with, and the floors themselves are beautiful. It also really says something about their concern with actually meeting customer needs, that when I originally contacted them about installation solid hardwood floors (which would have cost me more for the flooring and installation), upon understanding my needs, recommended engineered hardwood instead.

West Wood is the best! We met Peter, Nick and Anthony at the Architectural Digest show in the Spring of 2019. They worked hard to create the perfect floor for our New York apartment, and never let us settle for anything less than perfect. They are dedicated and the best at what they do- the floor looks amazing! We are so happy and they are the most complimented part of our apartment. We highly recommend working with them, they are truly artists and experts in their field.

As a Project Manager for a high end construction firm in NYC, I only trust Peter and the skilled craftsmen at West Flooring for all my projects. We just completed a project that required close attention to detail with an antique wood floor that required a multi step process in a historical landmark brownstone. This exceptionally maintained home is 175 years old and the new wood floors look like meticulously cared for originals. West Flooring is the only flooring contractor I use and recommend.

Our experience with West Flooring and Design is quite different. We paid $14k (75% of expected total) for 1,150 sq feet wood floor of a very specific color (know as Snowdrop). Upon inspection of samples provided by Company, the finished color of the floor was dramatically different that what had been indicated to us. Upon repeated attempts and exchanges to resolve, West was not able to satisfactory provide samples to mach the desired color. They have since resisted refunding the $14K, we have paid and have kept the entirety of the wood floor for their own re-selling profit.

I reached out to West Flooring and Design while planning a barn house renovation, searching for flooring samples. Anthony Tamasi is the sales associate who ended up being my contact point throughout the entire process—and I can’t say enough about how helpful he was! Between phone calls and emails, from samples to the final delivery, he always made sure I got what I needed for the project and made the process as simple and stress-free as possible for me. Honestly, it was such a relief—if you’ve never renovated an older house, the odds skew towards nothing going as planned—but the flooring material became the one thing I could actually count on. The product is beautiful, super high quality, and far exceeded my expectations. West Flooring’s color library of available finishes combined with the option to customize further is really spectacular—good luck with choosing a favorite! Overall great experience with this boutique company, highly recommend.
