We used Superior Home Remodeling for a large job involving adapting our home to age in place. From start to finish, Shimshon and SHR were professional, courteous, thoughtful, and — most importantly — skilled. Shimshon guided us through the construction process with great attention to detail and consideration of our needs and requests. He showed great creativity, coupled with his experienced eye, in addressing issues that arose along the way. He hired subcontractors who demonstrated reliability and proficiency in their work. Erik is a salt of the earth. I hired Erik as my General Contractor on my very first flip property in Newburyport, MA - a flip project that was too large a project for my first project and a project that I was in way over my head on. Erik came into the project after I had already been tied up in historic for nine months. He worked closely with my real estate attorney, realtor, and architect to make suggests to ease us through the challenges of historic and zoning. With permits in hand, and a new game plan, Erik tackled the project of converting an abandoned row house into three condos and over 4,000 sq ft of living space with zeal and enthusiasm. One would have thought that it was his own investment, and not the investment of one of his customers. During the 9 months of construction, Erik was on site most days guiding his hand picked contractors and providing meaningful advise and guidance. Whether it was adapting more major changes in design due to the rerouting of electrical boxes to the maintenance room, eliminating the eye sore of meters on the outside of the structure, to the hand selecting of pulls for the kitchen cabinets. I can't possibly say enough about Erik and his professionalism. Kaminski Construction came in under budget, even after multiple overages on certain elements beyond anyone's control and several upgrades that I requested. It just shows you how hard Erik worked to make the project come together. I would not hesitate to use Erik on any future projects.

Rolf & his team are very trustworthy , professional & skilled. They built out a beautiful party room in our unfinished basement area. They added a full kitchen , bar area , mantle & installed an electric fireplace in the room as well. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! Jim review Guggenheim Remodeling has truly transformed our house in the best way possible! We moved in to a home that needed a GREAT deal of TLC— and Jim and his team absolutely delivered! We had them complete a plethora of jobs— from tearing down paneling and cabinets in some rooms to installing all new interior doors and lock sets, baseboard, and trim/molding in the entire home. There were some additional miscellaneous projects. We closed on the house on a Friday, and Jim and his guys were in Monday morning to start the work! Jim and his whole team were very easy to work with. They always completed everything incredibly promptly (no waiting around!!)— which was of prime importance to us as we were on the clock waiting to move in! Jim was also able to answer any questions I had or guide my choices. He has such a wide range of tradesmen, and they all do fantastic work. I loved working with Mancuso Homes. I just completed a whole home renovation. Mancuso held my hand and guided me through the entire process. Matthew was my first point of contact, helping me through the initial phase and creating the project timeline. Next, Liz, the designer, helped me to create and design the home of my dreams. She had great suggestions and ideas. She also listened to me about what I wanted and helped to make it possible. Luke, the project manager, was a real pro. His leadership and drive kept the project on schedule, even when there were a few unforeseen hiccups. I had weekly Friday conference calls with him throughout the construction phase of the project. Those calls covered what was accomplished that week and what work was upcoming for the following week so that I knew what to expect. Mancuso uses an app called Builder Trend which made everything easy to communicate from project management and selections, to daily logs, and keeping track of costs. Builder Trend kept us all on the same page and schedule. Each night, Luke would post the work that was done, who did it and pictures to show the progress. With Builder Trend and Liz and Luke's communications, I never felt out of the loop, which took away a lot of my stess, especially considering the investment I made in the renovation. Mancuso estimated that it would take eight months. They finished a few weeks early... And I love the way it looks!

We engaged Alair Homes to serve as the General Contractor for the extension and remodeling of our 102 year-old home in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. Both Brandon and Ken were highly communicative every step of the way. Brandon and, when needed, Ken were on-site moving the Project along and providing "aide and comfort" to us. We were first impressed by how tirelessly Brandon performed. He was never late and always cheerfully and substantively responsive to our constant barrage of questions and modifications concerning the project. We were consistently impressed by the high quality of the tradesmen Ken and Brandon chose. In the final analysis, Alair can only be as good as the tradesmen they select, and the tradesmen they chose showed absolute precision in their work, whether it was laying the new foundation for the Utility Room, building cabinets, fitting trims, or properly grading a concrete driveway. We have only one minor gripe with Alair; namely, we pointed out that we had hired Brandon to work with us on the Planning Phase of the Project, Alair charged his time out on an hourly rate. I must assume that Alair set an hourly rate that includes an amount of profit in that rate. But then, additionally, in assessing Alair's Fee for the Construction Phase of the Project, the cost of Planning is considered a cost of construction. As such, Alair earns profit from Brandon's time, and then earns profit on the very same time again by assessing its fee on the cost of construction, which includes Brandon's Planning Phase time which, in our opinion, is an unfair double-count. We must conclude this review on a VERY POSITIVE note because the services provided by Alair, and Brandon Gembus in particular, were extraordinary in every regard. Brandon was a first-rate Project Manager who gained our trust and our friendship. My husband is a retired trial attorney whose trust is always guarded, yet Brandon gave us every reason to earn that trust. In summary, we would be pleased to hire Alair again, especially if Brandon is the Project Manager.

This is my second review of Certainty Construction as I removed my first review, upon the request of the owner, when a payment agreement (4 payments of $1,000 each) was reached. Since said agreement, there has been zero follow through and simply more false promises of reimbursement. Certainty Construction was the contractor for our house purchased in August 2020. Part of the closing agreement was for a city water connection to be completed. A total of $5,500 was escrowed (check made out to water company) to cover the meter tap and the $4,000 for trenching was to be covered by the contractor. I have detailed text messages evidencing Certainty Construction’s responsibility for this service connection. Due to scheduling (surge in new builds in the area amidst the Covid-19 pandemic) trenching could not be completed until December of 2020. At the owner of Certainty Construction’s request, my family paid the $4,000 for trenching fees with the assurance we would be reimbursed upon completion. To date, no reimbursement has been received and my numerous requests for payment have been to no avail. Empty responses and threats of retaliation for my social media acknowledgement of this injustice continue with little likelihood of recovery based upon other Certainty Construction customers similarly positioned. At this point, my family is out $4,000 due to Certainty Construction’s failure to fulfill its responsibilities under our agreement. I will continue to publicize this wrong doing in every media outlet available in hopes no other family finds themselves in a similar position by doing business with this contractor. Certainty Construction places profits above all else and their reputation should reflect the same.

Loved the quality of their work, and the crew was awesome from start to finish. I would gladly hire them again!
