“Red House was our GC for an eight month gut renovation of an 1840's farmhouse. They were fantastic to work with from the first call to their office thru the finishing touches just after we moved in. They provided ideas and consulted throughout the design process, sharing options for needed products, vendor and retail suggestions. As some items inevitably changed during construction they were understanding and willing to adjust. They ran a very neat construction site and kept the project on time. Chris Quinn oversaw the project from a business/planning perspective, David Matesi was point person on site (and a talented blacksmith!) and worked with Dave, Nate & Arna - a great team all around.”

“After we bought a house in Stowe Vermont in 2011 we hired Patterson and Smith to do extensive renovations for our home, knowing that they had originally built the home in 2000. We extended the house to provide for a new entry and mudroom, and expanded and completely remodeled the master bath. The work was all completed with excellent workmanship, in a timely fashion, and within our allotted budget. Shap Smith was a pleasure to work with, expecially considering our permenant home is St. Thomas, VI, so we could not be present during the construction period. We got updates and pictures regularly, and when we arrived back in Stowe for Christmas everything was complete, working, and clean!”

Finally getting near the end of my North Carolina house build and I just wanted to thank Jim and his Vermont team for building a great product. The quality and fit of the Frame and SIP panels was key in the success of this project. Everyone at Vermont Frames was courteous and very helpful. Jim, Chris and everyone else there never got tired of answering all my questions. I researched a lot of Timber Framers closer to me and VF offered the most comprehensive solution with the least amount of unnecessary drama. I hired one of Jim’s Field Technicians (Jake) to lead my local framers and in four days the frame was up. Jake was one of the hardest workers I had on the job site. He took charge of the raising from the first minute he was there. The precut SIP’s took another week and were easily installed without the need for Jake. So thanks to Vermont Frames for helping my wife and I survive this ambitious dream that started on a mountain top several years ago.

“Birdseye has been amazing from start to finish. The project began 2.5 years ago, we were living in London and building in Vermont, we wanted a Vermont Architectural Firm and discovered Birdseye. We had a basic concept of a 'Modern Barn' they brought the concept to life brilliantly. It was an amazingly collaborative process, dozens of decisions throughout the building phase. They were respectful and accommodating when we felt strongly about something but we could also count on them to give their professional perspective if they disagreed. The project is now complete, I would recommend Birdseye without hesitation. This is not the only amazing house they have designed but you really sensed their professional pride and excitement in what they do. Also, they are really super people to work with and we enjoyed the engagement in every step of the process.
