“When we built our home on the Wye River in Talbot County, MD 12 years ago, we knew we wanted a large, comfortable master bedroom. Well, we got large and all the architectural components to make it wonderful---fabulous fireplace, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water, & custom millwork. What we never got around to was comfortable. Our bedroom ended up being the place where all the old furniture---and a treadmill---went to die. Not a happy picture. Enter designers Amanda Friend & Jamie Merida from Bountiful. After clearing out the debris and keeping the pine antiques we loved, the pair created an oasis that we truly enjoy being in at all times of the day. We added a couch, and upholstered bed and two upholstered, swivel chairs that allow us to alternately enjoy the view, the fireplace, and the TV. Color cues came from the blues and greens outside our windows. A friend calls the result "study in blue." I find that it just makes me smile. I've always been horrible at choosing fabrics. This is where Bountiful really came through. When I fell in love with a chair fabric I was afraid was a little too lively, they showed me how to make it work by pairing it with "tamer" fabric on the couch & bed. Finally, after 12 years of living with the leftovers, we have the bedroom we wanted all along.”

“My wife and I have been working with Kate for the last few months on a variety of projects for our home. We found Kate via a referral from a friend who couldn't stop raving about Kate both as a person and interior designer. When it came time to begin decorating our new home we decided to give Timeless Design a try. We had never utilized an interior designer so we weren't entirely sure what to expect of the whole process. From the start, Kate has been fantastic. She is high energy and passionate about her work. She really took the time to get to know our family and sense of style prior to recommending anything for our project. Once she understood our objectives and budget she went to work! Kate pulled together a fantastic design for our family room which played off of our favorite blue sectional and dark wood floors. The design incorporated everything from large furniture pieces, to custom window treatments and all of the accessories which really pulled the room together (and represented our family perfectly!). We were so thrilled with Kate's family room design we decided to have her work on our Kitchen and Dining Room. What I have enjoyed most is Kate's flexibility and guidance through the process. My wife and I enjoy finding furniture pieces that speak to our personal style which I'm sure could prove challenging for some designers (and stand in the way of their grand vision). Kate has been a great sounding board and integrated these pieces seamlessly in to her designs. The end product has been a design that really feels like "us" but with a finished look we could never achieve on our own. Thank you Kate!! During the initial evaluation, Vicki changed a few things around in our family room that made an immense difference in the way the room looked. The house sold before she could come back to stage the rest of the house. We hired House to Home to help us arrange the furniture in our new home in August of September of 2010. We hired them again in December to decorate the house for the Christmas holidays. On both occasions, we were more than satisfied with the outcome.
