“Building a house is one of the most exciting, stressful, costly and memorable things one can do in a lifetime. Picking your designer is your first crucial decision. Emily makes the process incredibly pleasurable. She has the education and experience to make her great. However, it is her natural ability to see beauty that makes her exceptional. Emily has this incredible ability to help you see the vision which is hard for us first timers or novices out there. Emily takes your idea and stratifies it. She pushes you just enough so you take comfortable risks and gently steers you from regrettable mistakes. She is remarkable. One of the most important elements Emily brings is advocacy. During my build when we ran into problems, my builders/contractors would occasionally push me into solutions that were easiest or cheapest for them. Emily would not allow it. She would rectify the issue and provide solutions that we all agreed on and most importantly I was happy with. This makes her worth her weight in gold. Emily has everything you want and need in a designer. She is experienced, talented, diversified, organized, professional and truly a joy. You will have hundreds of decisions when building a home, Emily should be your first.”

“Working with Marnie at House Blends was pure joy! Her endearing personality and fresh ideas as well as her expertise for our 1960's Prairie Style Ranch house, totaled up to a wonderful experience for us. She transformed our kitchen, laundry room and three bathrooms opening up walls and spaces to create an open, natural light filled atmosphere. She was always prepared with pictures, ideas and prices to help with our decision making and was always stopping by to make sure things were running smooth. She really went the extra mile for us when she faux painted a new window sill to match perfectly with an original 1960's Anderson window sill. You can't tell them apart! She's an absolute angel and we could not be more pleased.”

“Natalie asked us about our style and then went through our house and gave us ideas for each room. She did all our planning, shopping and staging! She has done everything from helping us remodel a sunroom to creating a beautiful bedroom for our 3 year old daughter! Natalie also helped us with our entry way, living room and dining room. We love everything she has done in our house! She is also very respectful of our budget!”

“I was in over my head in reorganizing my laundry room and basement and am so thankful I decided to ask for help from the experts, Michelle and Susan. They came over to my home twice before our big work day to take measurements and pictures to make sure they were being as thorough in their ideas and plans as possible. They thought of ways and products to make the best use of our space as possible, and even re-purposed several items (a cabinet and a chest) already in our house that I never would have thought of using. I felt completely confident in them and when they left after our work day, I felt like a new woman. I have my basement back to spend time in as a family and can finally entertain again! It was well worth the investment and I'm already dreaming up other areas of my house they can help me with.”

“This designer rocks!! She is excellent at what she does. We did all our consultation visits via emails, text messages, and phone calls because she lives in Wisconsin and I in Minnesota. She is friendly, very helpful and knows her stuff and has a very creative mind for design. We recently did a kitchen and dining room remodel and love, love the finished product! She has a creative mind and really took into our consideration our wants and desires. She responds quickly to my messages and includes me in every step of the process, getting my input and ideas as well. We have had so many compliments on our remodel and people are asking us who was our designer/consultant. I am looking forward to doing business with her in the near future for my office. I highly recommend her for all your remodel or new projects. She is a 5 star Interior Designer in my book!! I plan on uploading photos or our remodel project once we have our backsplash up.”
