“In 2018-2019 we renovated the entire first floor of a house we had recently purchased. Kimmel Design worked side by side with us to not only design the new floor plan but also in selecting everything from kitchen cabinets to light fixtures. Kathryn Kimmel was a major part of figuring out how we could redesign the master suite to meet all of our needs. She also came up with a new configuration for the kitchen when we picked appliances that were not going to work in the previously designed space. She was also great in helping us determine tiles for counter tops, floors, showers, etc. In general, she filled the gaps when we were at a loss and listened to our desires when sketching out a functional floor plan to meet our needs. I would definitely recommend Kimmel Design.”

“Several years ago, I began using Jade O'Connor Designs to renovate the kitchen and family room of our home. These rooms still had 80's style colors -- peach, mauve, teal, wallpaper, wall to wall carpeting, etc. Jade took the time to understand my decorating style and she completely gutted and transformed these rooms into something I absolutely love. A couple of years later I moved on to the living room and dining room and, using her decorating knowledge and talented artistry, she transformed these rooms as well. I love coming home now! Fast forward to Spring of 2017. Jade and Graham Joyner married in the summer of 2016 and opened up Metal and Petal in November. I met with them several times to plan the renovation of our foyer and refurbish the guest bedroom into an office. The project is unfolding as I write this and it is running very smoothly and on time. Graham is professional, courteous and very well organized. He promptly arrives to let the subcontractors into the house and supervises all of the projects. He has years of building experience and actually completes some of the projects himself. Working with the two of them has been so easy and enjoyable. We are already talking about the next project! “Rebekah came to my house to look at an alcove that my husband built cabinets into. Above the cabinets we decided we wanted wallpaper (pretty small space) but we could not decide what would look good and go with the modern textured doors of the cabinets. Rebekah took into account our budget, took her own measurements and pictures and discussed styles with me. Then later that week she sent renderings of four wallpapers and what they’d look like in the space. They were all around the price point I told her, one way under budget, one a bit over and two right at it. I was very pleased with what she sent and decided I liked one of the wallpapers and would purchase it. She was a huge help with this project. I look forward to getting this project done soon, thanks to her design help. She was very professional and respectful and I’d work with her again.”
