When my husband and I moved into our new home this summer, we couldn't have been more excited. Then reality hit... We realize the home we had just purchased, was basically a blank canvas, and we became overwhelmed with all the furniture, rug, window treatment, and finishes decisions we needed to make to make this house our home. Mary to the rescue - she came over with her bag of samples, swatches, and swipe to help us figure out our style, set realistic budgets, and make sure we felt confident in our decisions. Figuring out our window treatments was perhaps the most daunting task. Mary patiently addressed each window in our home with us, helped us learn a whole new set of vocabulary, and went through the pros and cons of each type of window treatment and possible customization. After all the decisions were made, we decided to do the updates in phases so we could stick to our budget. Mary had some great recommendations about temporary window solutions that helped us space out the large purchases but still feel like we were making progress and provided privacy in the interim. Every morning we walk downstairs and gaze at our beautiful marsh view. Mary Jones at Arpieka Design Studio captured the marsh colors and textures for a remodel of our kitchen and living areas. Mary quickly grasped our thoughts and helped us visualize her suggestions. She researched and refined material options. Contractors, with her consultation and drawings, knew their objectives. Walls were removed and new custom cabinetry designed and placed. She also provided furniture concepts and floor plans utilizing many of our existing pieces. Throughout the entire process Mary supported us with attention to budget and made frequent contact. The results are stunning and draw praise from our visitors. We will definitely use her in the future.

We had ideas about what we wanted to do in our new home, but Mary is gradually helping us take each space to a level of elegance and function that we would never have been able to get to on our own.
