Friends of ours worked with Amanda on their kitchen and bathroom remodel. We were so impressed with her plans and the final product we asked for her contact information. We feel so lucky she agreed to work with us! We worked with Amanda on the design of our kitchen remodel which is nearing completion; it is beautiful and functional! Visionary: Amanda has the ability to walk into a space and see how it can be enhanced; it’s like she can see through walls to find the potential of a space. 2. Creative: Amanda found solutions for our odd-shaped, small kitchen to deliver the elements that we most wanted in our new kitchen. Her first presentation of the two design options were so creative, so out-of-the box, they left us speechless. 3. Great Listener, Collaborator: Amanda listened to everything we wanted in our new kitchen, what worked in our old kitchen (honestly, it wasn’t much) and what didn’t. She delivered a beautiful, timeless design with enhanced functionality. As we worked through the final design with her, she incorporated our feedback, and welcomed our collaboration to deliver the final product that would work for us. 4. Patient: There was much back and forth, tweaking of designs, talking through all options and details, and Amanda stuck with us patiently throughout it all. There were some design elements that we were attached to, that Amanda knew wouldn’t look the best. She didn’t force her vision on us, she just waited for us to catch up to her vision. We’re so glad we did! 5. Gentle, Pragmatic Guidance: Amanda guided us gently away from ideas we had that wouldn’t work. She listened to our ideas and explained the implications and outcomes. She was pragmatic and never forced her ideas or judged our ideas. 6. Top Notch Design: Everything from the original design ideas to the final construction plans were top notch. In fact, both our GC and our cabinet maker, who are both in high demand, said they agreed to take on our project because the final construction drawings and plans were so good. Both of them said the plans were the best they’ve ever worked with. 7. Responsive: Throughout the design phase Amanda quickly responded to our questions and moved the design phase forward. There were a few design details that didn’t get translated onto the final construction drawings. Amanda quickly responded to our texts confirming non-standard cabinet depths and our team had the answers they needed to move forward. 8. Cheerful and Kind: Amanda is a pleasure to work with. We were always greeted with a smile, and were treated kindly and respectfully. We would definitely work with Amanda again and recommend her without hesitation!

We simply cannot say enough positive things about Amanda Fedora of RESIDE Design Studio Inc. We hired Amanda to design 3 bathrooms, and we could not be more pleased with the final result. We are happy that we got in touch with her right at the start of the renovation process because Amanda’s input was paramount in getting the renovation from the stage of an assortment of ideas and visions to a beautiful, functional final product that far exceeded our expectations. Amanda began by doing a site visit where she took the time to understand how we needed the bathrooms to function for our family and what design elements were most important to us. From there, Amanda created several different design options for us to view. Seeing the 3D design renderings helped us visualize what the final results would realistically look like in our space. Not only did she help us choose amazing products and finishes, but she also designed bathrooms that maximized our limited space and provided creative and functional storage solutions, all while working within our budget. Amanda listened to us and the designs that she came up with were both beautiful and practical for our family. Additionally, Amanda took the stress out of having to visit multiple showrooms and source materials by doing all of the legwork for us and compiling a selection of materials for us to view in her design studio. Everything she selected was chosen with design, function, and budget in mind. Amanda drew up the detailed construction drawings for our builder to work from and provided us with a detailed portfolio outlining every product, fixture, and colour we had selected. Her design package became an invaluable reference tool for our builder and every trade involved in the renovation. Throughout the entire process, Amanda was easy to communicate with and worked seamlessly with our builder to address any issues that arose. In short, Amanda is a very talented designer with a wonderful design aesthetic and is a great listener with a positive demeanor. At the same time, she is hard-working, organized, and very efficient. Working with her was a true pleasure, and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone undertaking a renovation project.

My husband and I needed a designer for our (almost) full house reno as there was no way we wanted to tackle our project alone. The project included our entire top floor (kitchen, two bathrooms, dining, family, tv areas and master bedroom) as well as our downstairs entryway and stairs. We saw the outstanding design Amanda created in our neighbour’s home and when we asked our contractor, Philip Rechsteiner, for some designers he would recommend, he right away suggested Amanda. After our first meeting with Amanda, we were satisfied and knew there was no need to look any further. Amanda was personable, a great listener, and if you check out her website you will see how beautiful the spaces are that she has designed. During our initial walk-through of our space, we shared with Amanda what wasn’t working for us and needed changing. We’d been living with a very unfunctional kitchen for 20 years but couldn’t figure out a layout that would work in our awkward space. Amanda listened to our concerns and asked thoughtful questions, which helped us think about what else our space needed that we hadn’t even considered. Amanda also asked us to gather some inspiration pictures to help her get a sense of our style and vision. Amanda took all this information and during our second meeting she presented us with potential layouts. We were very impressed with her ideas. The option we ended up choosing for our kitchen gave us more counter space, cabinetry/storage and function than we thought was possible AND it was a beautiful design. An added benefit is that Amanda uses 3D renderings to convey her ideas, which really helped us visualize our newly designed home. At our third meeting, Amanda presented us with material choices that she had carefully selected and were within the style we were looking to achieve. She spent a great deal of time with us, and I especially appreciate how patient she was, as I find decisions difficult and can be so indecisive. We went away from the meeting feeling happy and relaxed. We took a couple more weeks to mull over and nail down our choices and we are very happy with our final selections. Amanda continued to be available for any questions (we had MANY!) or changes we wanted to make and was always prompt with her replies. Also, one of the workers on our site praised Amanda for her detailed drawings. He said that with some designers you might have to do some guess work when it comes to measurements, layout, etc., but with Amanda, the plans are always well laid out and easy to follow. This is not only a compliment to Amanda’s attention to detail, but also means you get what you are expecting from your builder! Amanda Fedora of Reside Design is extremely professional, kind and is a thoughtful listener. She is creative and has an amazing eye for design and colour. I would hire her in an instant for any other project and will recommend her to anyone who needs help transforming their space into something functional and beautiful!

Amanda helped me on two occasions to choose colors for my home renovation, I was really struggling to pinpoint a match for some other colors in my home. Amanda was very patient, kind and professional and I am thrilled with the outcome because of the colors she chose for me. She responded to all my requests in a very timely manner and really showed that she cared about my projects!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! Thank you Amanda! Using the Houzz app, we sourced a design-build professional in our area which is how we met Amanda. Our initial meeting was a site visit and walkthrough of the house where we pointed out likes and dislikes, and created a design "wish list". Using the Houzz app we shared an Ideabook with Amanda which was is a great way of visually showing our design preferences using photos and quick comments. Amanda presented us with design options using a 3D design software which allows you to "see" the rooms from different angles making it really easy to view and discuss how the room will look and function, and choose the design. Wow! The design she created was amazing encompassing all of our wishes and more. Then a complete package of Construction Drawings was created for the builder. Throughout the renovation, Amanda was invaluable and efficient guiding us through the extensive product decisions required within the budget we set, and that met the build timelines. We had the great pleasure of working with Amanda of RESIDE Design Studio Inc. during our extensive main floor renovation. Throughout the whole process, Amanda was wonderful to work with. She is organized, responsive, punctual, and cheerful. The detailed design plans Amanda drafted and provided to us and our contractor were immensely helpful. They made for a smooth process all around and saved us many last minute changes and questions from our contractor. As we are both busy professionals, this was a huge timesaver as the renovation progressed efficiently without us needing to be onsite often to address issues and make decisions. Amanda sourced all materials honouring our style and wishes. When a product originally selected would not be available in time, Amanda quickly sprang into action and provided alternate choices. After the completion of the renovation, Amanda did an amazing job staging our home with beautiful accessories. The staging really elevated the space and we kept almost everything! We would not hesitate to work with Amanda and RESIDE Design Studio Inc. again and highly recommend her!

Amanda and Norcon completed our first project together in 2016 and have completed many more since then. Amanda is an accomplished Designer and has an incredible eye for detail. I've referred her on many occasions and have received terrific feedback from clients. She is very pleasant to work with and takes what can be a very overwhelming process and breaks it down into manageable steps. As a Builder, I understand that a skilled Interior Designer is critical to the success of every project. Amanda made renovating easy, fun and satisfying! It seems that everyone we talked to about a renovations project complained about how difficult it was, how hard it was to find a contractor, and how unhappy they were with the work that was done. We experienced none of that, and attribute our extremely positive experience to Amanda! She started with a walk through our space and a conversation with us about what we wanted to have done. She took meticulous and detailed notes and measurements of our home and used that as the basis to plan our new space. She did this in enough detail for the city to approve the permits and for the contractor and the trades to be able to plan all of their work. We provided her with some clippings that we liked from magazines and the web. She developed a plan that met our needs and a design that was consistent with our taste and desires. She invited us to her design studio to choose exactly what we wanted and sourced the materials. So much easier that having to drive to a bunch of stores to choose the colours and designs for the walls, plumbing fixtures, tiles, lighting and cabinets. It was a breeze! We did most of it in one afternoon! Amanda identified a contractor that she had worked with, and they worked from the plans and details that she provided, including the location of all of the fixtures, light switches, plumbing, electrical outlets, and cabinets. She was available to us throughout the process, beyond the initial design phase, and helped clarify what would look best for us in our environment. We highly recommend Amanda to anyone who is considering a home renovation project. She’s the best!
