“This past summer we hired Landsystems Landscapes to design a backyard retreat for our family. We wanted a space that would be both beautiful and functional, a place for us to entertain our family and friends, but also serve as a private oasis to escape for some peace and quiet. “Shireen designed my backyard, which requires putting in a new deck and changing the lawn to more drought tolerant plants. We also wanted to turn the backyard into an extension of our living space. I really like Shireen's approach. She spent a lot of time speaking with me and my wife to know our preference, and also spoke with my kids to get an idea what they like. My little girl is especially afraid of bees. So, when she chose plants, she specifically looked for the ones that do not attract bees. The project was completed in summer, and we all love it and practically hang out in the backyard all the time. During the discussion, she suggested we build a swing set. She produced a complete package which included site plans, elevations, planting, materials, electrical, plumbing, trenching as well as construction details.
