“Best Landscape and Construction have done 4 jobs for me. The first job was removing a long driveway and sidewalk and replaced it with permeable pavers. He had to work with the county for rebates they were offering. He made that easy. When it turned into more work than was anticipated, he did not come back wanting to raise the price. On the other jobs he was very helpful offering ideas on how to achive what I needed. They always arrived on time and did what they promised. His workers are always friendly. He has certifications that are helpful in achiving your goals. They are always my go to company for landscape or outside work.”

“We contracted with The Landscape Design Center to provide a consultation and subsequent installation of a full landscape lighting update. Although we already had landscape lighting in place for a number of years, as the trees and shrubs have grown we were feeling like the existing lighting did not accentuate the natural beauty of the property nor did it provide adequate path lighting on parts of the property. Our first step was to meet with a Landscape Designer from the Landscape Design Center. She was very knowledgeable with great and creative ideas..... Exactly what we needed. She not only designed the project but also managed the project from start to finish. She also coordinated with our electrician to ensure proper coordination with out Lutron System. In all aspects, she was outstanding! The installation itself was also outstanding. This was a complete makeover. So we expected the lawn and planting beds may be pretty torn up when the project was complete. We were surprised when that was not the case at all. All of the installation was done in a professional and clean manner. You can barely tell that we had any work done at all. The end result is amazing. The new lighting brings out all the best in the property. We can't wait until warmer weather when we spend more time outdoors and really get to enjoy it even more.”

“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“If you have water issues on your property; have little or no experience on how to stop your property from becoming a swimming pool; and, are looking for the best solution, and a company that complete the job just like they said they would, you need to contact this company. My backyard has more definition and useful space. I would give all my landscaping projects to Zabrene Scapes.”

“Joe and his team installed a natural retaining "wall" system in my back yard. I put quotes around the word wall because it is not a wall at all. Using tons and tons of large boulders, Joe built a natural rock landscape that is holding up a large hillside of trees and soil. The original wood retaining wall system spanned 10 feet from the bottom of my yard to the top of the wall and had begun to fail, necessitating a new wall. After months of dealing with landscapers who wanted to install industrial strength, and industrial ugly, walls at a significant cost, we decided to work with Joe. The result is remarkable both structurally and aesthetically. It is truly something you would advertise as part of the reason to buy the house. And the other contractors were flakes compared to Joe. Not only did the boulders work out great but Joe worked a waterfall feature in to the design as well as natural steps for access to the top of the yard. You really have to see pictures to do it justice.”

“Manuel and his crew have done several major jobs for us over the past year, and I cannot say enough good things about him and his work. He turned a large, brambly patch of woods full of debris and 30 years worth of vines, weeds, and sticker bushes into a beautiful oasis where we love to spend time. He built a beautiful stone patio, replaced a large section of our lawn with new sod, planted numerous shrubs, large trees, and perennials, all of which are thriving, and built a gravel drainage ditch, incorporating it into the landscape so that it seems like a natural part of the property. Manuel knows his plants, and does a great job of helping you decide where plants should be placed, and where to move existing plants in order to maximize their impact in the landscape. He is an excellent communicator, always responding to messages very quickly, and providing estimates in a timely manner. Finally, Manuel is just a really good person, very friendly, with an equally friendly crew, always full of smiles and good cheer even when they're hauling enormous hemlock trees with root balls the size of wine barrels off the truck. I would not hesitate to recommend MMV Landscaping and Stonework to any of my friends; we are so happy to have found a landscaper we can trust, who does excellent work, and who is reasonably priced.
