“I've known Michael for several years now and he has a current ongoing project at my Fernandina Beach house, which has many featured pictures on this website. The initial problem with our home was erosion due to the grade on our lot and the fact that we had very limited parking space. In 2010 Michael designed a 2 car parking pad for me and then installed a sprinkler system for me, put in new grass, designed free-form planting beds for my live oaks in the front yard and put in underground drainage to divert water away from my front door where it had been a big problem. This was a great job and we get so much use from the parking pad, but it's not what you see in the pictures. These pictures are from work that Michael did on my home this spring and last fall. It is both beautiful and functional. Michael is a genius when it comes to hardscape. He does have wonderful plant and landscape design skills, but he really excels at hardscaping: retaining walls, paver paths, parking pads, ... etc. Last spring he did this unbelievable work on my front yard (that's most of what you see in the pics). He built a curved retaining wall for my live oak and azalea bed which really highlights their beauty and then he leveled the space next to my driveway and added a social area in front of my front door with shallow steps up into the front yard. Michael and I planned it has a surprise for my husband and he was floored when he saw it for the first time. The prior fall he started a project for me to reduce the grade in my back yard. This project involved building a 3 ft retaining wall that runs somewhere around 80 to 100 feet across my back yard and leveling the yard. It allows me to reclaim the northeast corner of my lot which I am going to use for a garden shed. In addition he created these beautiful curved planters along the side of my carport and installed a paver path so I can push the lawn mower up to the front yard. The work is really beautiful and everyone who sees it is amazed. Michael is also very good with timelines. He usually finishes right about when he promises and the same for job estimates. The final bill is usually very close to his original estimate. Dealing with Michael has always been pretty much stress free for me, which is not something I can say for many of the contractors I've worked with on this property.”
