“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Kimberly of Brick and Beam Studio was wonderful to work with! She really listens and does a great deal of background work to understand your vision, your budget, and what you need for your lifestyle. She's flexible and willing to work with you the whole way through. I really believe she went above and beyond for us (we were rather indecisive!) I'll never work with any other designer and we plan to hire Kimberly again when it's time to update our second floor. I highly recommend Brick and Beam Studio - you won't be disappointed!”

“Chantal Lawrence is the owner of Total Design Source. Some years ago we collaborated on the many ideas that I had been mulling over for my house renovation. Chantal worked with me to take all of these undefined ideas and turn them into a real plan and a fairly major renovation of the kitchen, dining room, expanded living area and garage. She is knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and very creative. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for anything from a complete renovation to just a refreshing of your space. I cannot say enough about her. Phase 2, Remarkable, stupendous, incredible, fabulous are amongst the adjectives I would use to define Chantal's vision and commitment to a project. I first met Chantal some years ago when I was designing the addition to my house, an antique reproduction cape with a variety of roof line intricacies. Through conversations of needs, wants, form and function, Chantal took my scribbles and ideas and designed a beautiful renovation project which I have enjoyed for some years. Most recently, I was commenting on the need to freshen up and make some changes with a little art and color. Chantal spent all day with me on Sunday strategizing, moving, tweaking, planning until the house looked fresh and new. Much of this was accomplished with many of my own items, just moved or re-functioned to make a more inviting home. Some of it was some new art to complement what was already there but enable the colors of the room to pop! I cannot speak highly enough of Chantal and Total Design Source. Her knowledge of color, design, functionality, access to the very best work rooms from fabric to metal and anywhere in between is phenomenal. Even if you're just thinking about it you owe it to yourself to speak with Chantal. You will be overjoyed.”

“I had a chaise lounge chair that was 20 years old. I wanted to keep it in my newly re done bedroom. I consulted with Ms Lennox about how I could update the chair to work with my new master bedroom design. She helped me find a coordinating fabric and made some recommendations to update the chaise- like: remove buttons in the back and raise it four inches. It came out beautiful, even better than I would have imagined! And it didn’t cost a fortune. I love it! Ms. Lennox is wonderful to work with. I value her opinion and sense of style and design. She has helped with window shades, custom window treatments, designing a king size bed and custom duvet, spread and pillow shams. She has an amazing staff, friendly and always willing to help with any of my needs. Love Eileen Taylor!”
