In my experience, pool builders are a sketchy bunch - I called no fewer than 4 companies for quotes. 2 never even bothered to show up to quote, 1 spent an hour measuring and never came back with a quote, and the final one was at my house for 10 minutes, wrote a number on a piece of paper and handed it to me - no details on equipment, lights, etc. Just a number and he left. He hit every deadline, kept every promise, and has done a truly professional job for us.
