“Abel Schoeman and Hennie Schoeman Jr. completely renovated all 3 of our bathrooms and we could not be more pleased! They are not only great contractors but they are great people. The Schoeman's are professional, trustworthy, caring, and courteous. They included us in every decision and never took short cuts. Everything was done "the right way". They also completed many other jobs around the house. Abel and Hennie Jr. installed shiplap on walls, installed new ceiling fans and completed trim work, among other things. They never said no to me (Ha Ha). I felt very safe being in my home while they worked and even leaving them in the home when we were away. Their employee, Tien, is also fantastic. The guys would complete their work and Tien would come in and work his magic to finish everything. We also used all of their recommendations for suppliers - countertops, tile, plumbing, cabinets, glass, etc. Everything turned out wonderful and exceeded our expectations. I will call them again if I thing of ANYTHING else I want to do to my home!!”

“Our experience with Key Remodeling & Design was incredible for our waterfront home in Sarasota. It was difficult to find a general contractor for our bathroom remodeling projects, and we talked to quite a few that either didn’t have any vision or didn’t get back to us. Red flags. With Nicholas, from the very first contact he was attentive, communicative, and did what he said he was going to do. Our first meeting I took without my wife due to a conflict, and afterwards I confidently told my wife, “I think you are really going to like him.” Nicholas came back, we had another meeting—and I was right. He made us feel comfortable and confident and we were ready to start after that meeting. We really loved both of our bathroom remodels. They came out like something out of a magazine to be honest. We went to the showroom and honestly, it was so easy I was shocked how fast we were able to pick out the right materials. We couldn’t have done better with the tile selections and the countertops. We love them. We thought we needed an interior designer, but we didn’t. We just needed to trust Key Remodeling & Design. I think the attention to detail and software that Key uses helps keep track of things and really keeps the project running smoothly with deadlines, details, and documentation. We were impressed at the attention to detail and the craftsmanship, especially from Key’s tile installer, Tony. The mitering job he did on the tile in both bathrooms to avoid using schluter was fantastic. We honestly would highly recommend spending a little more for this detail. The whole team we met and worked with from Key was amazing and friendly. Nicholas also went above and beyond to move a hideous vent from the middle of our bathroom wall that multiple companies told us couldn’t be moved. He knew that we hated it and he surprised us and handled it while we were out of town. His team found a way to handle it and put it up in the ceiling where it belonged! He did not have to do this and didn’t commit to do this, but he really listened to us and made a mental note for a later date. This is when I really knew that we made the right choice. It’s really the little things. The best compliment I think I could give Nicholas is that he is the best communicator I have ever dealt with. His attention to detail along with his integrity and willingness to make sure we are happy is what sets him apart from everyone else. Also, with any construction project, issues may arise. Anytime an issue came up, it was swiftly taken care of and THAT is not something you find in a lot of companies. The Key team went above and beyond to make our bathrooms absolutely amazing. We will not be looking around for a new contractor for our upcoming kitchen remodel.”

“I had the pleasure to work with Juan, the owner of Building Destiny, during the addition of a studio/ mother in law suite to my house. When I started this journey I didn't have experience with picking general contractors, so finding one trustworthy was my number one priority since thousands of dollars was going to be on the line and there are plenty of stories out there about GC's stealing money and not finishing the jobs.
