How about a monthly Birthday Swap? Those whose birthday is during the next month would sign up before the last day of the current month, then I would pair up participants and they would send a birthday gift to one another.

If we end up with an odd number of birthday folks, I would cover the person who is without a partner.

Example: For all those who have an April birthday would sign up by March 31st. Birthday presents would need to be mailed out by the last day of April. So on and so forth for the rest of the year. For those who have b'days in Jan., Feb. or Mar. we would catch you next year.
