I have a second one that I picked up in the spring because it has narrower leaves. It was already more gold coloured when I got it. It doesn't have the same green shading. Maybe when they get older they stay greener...maybe because the leaves are thicker??

Got mine this spring from Hallson. Here it is right now. Many hostas do that...for instance...Gold Std. and Pineapple Upsidedown Cake.

It just occurred to me that the darker green parts of the plant were a lighter colour back in early June...

I want it to bleach out...to look like fries...but it also seems to be greening up on some leaves and that is what I wasn't expecting. The leaf at 10 o'clock on the first pick - see how it is much greener than any of the leaves on the pic from June?

Put her in the shade and she will stay greener.
