Select the fan with some care

• Don't' select one with a light kit for a grand room like this
• If you are in an area with humidity and expect your sliders to be open, you might still want to select an outdoor fan so the blade do not wilt over time. See image below.

• 60" or 72" dia would be a better proportion for the room and you can either select a 3 blade fan or the new ones that have 10 blades if you really want some air movement.

• Get something nicer than what you usually see at the big box stores because it's going to be there for a long time.

If you need decent airflow, in addition to size and looks, look at the airflow as well.
