10 Ways to Decorate With Pumpkins Around the House
A bright orange pumpkin or its albino cousin makes the easiest Halloween decoration ever
It’s hard not to equate fall with big, bountiful orange pumpkins, especially those flanking everyone’s front stoops. While this is a classic look that will always be fitting for fall, this season let’s change it up a bit by bringing the pumpkins inside. Of course, this is no new idea, but, just in case anyone has forgotten, I’ve collected the following photos to remind everyone just how chic and easy it can be. In fact, they also remind us that pumpkins need not always be orange and carved; they can take on many sophisticated forms as well. Take a peek and let us know what you think about decorating with pumpkins — indoors.

On a coffee table. The best thing about pumpkins is they look great anywhere, like coupled with a chic pile of books and vase on this coffee table.
On the stairs. Groups of mini pumpkins are unexpected accessories for this staircase.
On the table. The orange pumpkin’s albino relative, the white pumpkin, sets a beautiful and super chic tablescape. You may feel that large pumpkins in the middle of the dining room table would feel too heavy and intrusive, but this arrangement surely proves otherwise.
Atop a candlestick. Make displays of them by topping candleholders with small pumpkins. Consider mixing both white and orange pumpkins to create a more visually interesting presentation.
On a place setting. If you’re throwing a dinner party, consider topping each place setting with a small pumpkin. Painting them gold instantly turns a pumpkin into an elegant accessory.
In a bowl. Glass bowls, jars and hurricanes are the perfect containers to create colorful pumpkin displays. Just pile them high with small pumpkins and place wherever a splash of fall color is needed.
In a basket. Of course, other containers work as well, like this basket. Whether those pumpkins are a seasonal addition or stay year-round, they definitely prove to be a warm, colorful addition to the vignette.
On a vanity. And don’t think they belong only in entryways, dining rooms or living areas. I love the casual addition of a simple white pumpkin to this bathroom vanity.
On a dresser. Want to add extra interest? Look for pumpkins that have the best of both worlds: both orange and white coloring.
Or wherever else you need a hint of fall. No need to get all fancy. Simply add a few pumpkins to any surface will immediately fill your space with just the fall vibe it was craving.
