I don't think the bugle facing the bed in the last picture would make me feel relaxed or zen-like at all. It makes me feel agitated with implied noise and the inevitable wake-up call!

I live in a studio and the room has a curtain that divides the kitchen off from living quarters, what can I do with this to add peace and comfort
