Houzz Tour: Kerrie Kelly's California Style
Glimpse Inside the Interior Designer's Vintage Modern Bungalow
Kerrie Kelly is a multi-hyphenate design talent. In addition to running a successful design studio in Sacramento with clients throughout the Bay Area, she also is an accomplished author, prolific blogger, and — oh yeah — a well-loved contributor on Houzz.
We were all curious to get a peek inside her no doubt well-designed home, and were not disappointed. Read on to check out where this interior designer calls home.

Kerrie's sweet Sacramento-area home was built in 1945 in a California Bungalow style. Kelly Moore paints help to keep the home's exterior palette true to the architectural design.
The living room welcomes guests in Ralph Lauren's neutral Cottonwood paint. Ralph Lauren fabrics and a distressed leather sofa flank the fireplace.
The dining room features all that is vintage modern in style. Benjamin Moore's Almost Black walls wrap the room and contrast against white bookcases.
Special lighting was selected from Lumens Light+Living for this dining room. It is truly the jewelry of the home — not too masculine, not too feminine.
The dining room features a vintage New York map, where homeowners can reminisce over past trips spent in the city.
Dining room bookcases are filled with family heirlooms and historical pieces. Grandpa's trumpet, grandma's typewriter and books galore serve as conversation pieces when entertaining.
The master bedroom is styled simply. Hotel bedding from Legacy Linens allows for a restful space.
A limestone master bathroom with heated floors proves to be uber-functional. Undermounted sinks and a door-less, low-curb shower provide efficiency and cleanability.
Special lighting gives creates a custom feel over the tub area.
The guest bedroom greets visitors with a murphy bed and slender desk area.
The guest bath provides a vanity area with whimsical striped wall paper and a Jonathan Adler mirror.
An old grocery scale holds extra towels.
Guests are encouraged to leave notes on the bathroom's chalkboard door.
A spacious kitchen provides an interactive area for entertaining family and friends.
The den has seating for creative brainstorming.
Collected signage from over the years serves as workspace inspiration.
A dual sided desk allows for further office collaboration.
The den bath is a jewel-box space with black sea grass walls and an unexpected mirror.
