One of the most recent renovations is the guest bathroom, located on the first floor. Complete with a standing shower, the room successfully incorporates elements of various styles toward a harmonious end.
The vanity was a cabinet from Arhaus Furniture that was used for a store staging. Raymond and Jennifer purchased the marble top and put it on themselves. Jennifer had the lighting made by a husband-and-wife team that she found on Instagram. "Because social media is a great tool, it is also helpful to support small businesses. With just a little hash tagging and the right people to follow, you can find the most amazing things," she says.

This 1927 Spanish Colonial home was in dire need of an upgraded Master bathroom. We completely gutted the bathroom and re-framed the floor because the house had settled over time. The client selected hand crafted 3x6 white tile and we installed them over a full mortar bed in a Subway pattern. We reused the original pedestal sink and tub, but had the tub re-glazed. The shower rod is also original, but we had it dipped in Polish Chrome. We added two wall sconces and a store bought medicine cabinet.

This lovely home sits in one of the most pristine and preserved places in the country - Palmetto Bluff, in Bluffton, SC. The natural beauty and richness of this area create an exceptional place to call home or to visit. The house lies along the river and fits in perfectly with its surroundings.

This kitchen blends a soap stone countertop with a dark stained butcher block island to avoid the coldness of too much stone in the kitchen. The columns and soffits that drop down serve to set off the kitchen from the adjacent family room. An extra sized peninsula provide ample serving and staging are for cooking as well as a bar area for entertaining area. While butlers pantry and bars set in adjacent formal living rooms have been popular in the past they do not reflect the reality that most guests flock toward the kitchen area. This kitchen sets up like many of the new open restaurant setups where the kitchen is exposed and draws in the guests to the energy in the kitchen rather than trying to hide that activity. The generous use of glass front cabinets adds to that sense of letting the guests into the home and kitchen with nothing to hide. The vintage pinepapple lighting fixture provides needed aging to a brand new construction home.

The soft green opalescent tile in the shower and on the floor creates a subtle tactile geometry, in harmony with the matte white paint used on the wall and ceiling; semi gloss is used on the trim for additional subtle contrast. The sink has clean simple lines while providing much-needed accessible storage space. A clear frameless shower enclosure allows unobstructed views of the space.

All of the cuts in the tile were deliberate. Notice the equal reveal on either side of the soap niche. A rectangular soap niche is not only modern and unique, but also has a much higher storage capacity than the traditional small square recess. The pony wall provides separation and privacy and also is able to support the long floating bench across the back wall.
