Inspiration for a large rustic brown one-story wood exterior home remodel in Other with a mixed material roof

The most notable design component is the exceptional use of reclaimed wood throughout nearly every application. Sourced from not only one, but two different Indiana barns, this hand hewn and rough sawn wood is used in a variety of applications including custom cabinetry with a white glaze finish, dark stained window casing, butcher block island countertop and handsome woodwork on the fireplace mantel, range hood, and ceiling. Underfoot, Oak wood flooring is salvaged from a tobacco barn, giving it its unique tone and rich shine that comes only from the unique process of drying and curing tobacco. Inspiration for a large rustic l-shaped medium tone wood floor and brown floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Denver with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, gray cabinets, gray backsplash, paneled appliances, an island and white countertops

Architect: Molly LaPatra | Location: East Lake Union | Interior refresh of a vintage Seattle houseboat. Removed interior partitions on both floors to create an open concept and fill the house with natural light, including the addition of two skylights. All windows and doors were replaced and an open steel staircase was used to replace the existing. All hardwood flooring was restored and new carpeting added to the second floor.
