By adding transoms above the doors and high windows, light penetrates deep into the bedroom and articulates the height of the space making the rooms feel larger than they are. In keeping with the double parlor doors of many Edwardian flats, a second door was added at the stair to visually connect the back bedroom to the garden and allow for natural light.
