“Bob Howard was simply fantastic. He designed an amazing lake house for us and frequently spoke to us at length regarding ideas, options and design modifications. He patiently answered every question we had about our first build. He definitely takes his professional work seriously and delivered a great architectural product. My wife and I feel lucky to have found him and would use him again in a heartbeat!”

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Berkshire Mountain Design Build for a timber frame barn rebuild on our property, and we are thoroughly impressed with their service and craftsmanship. From the outset, Tony, the owner, and Peter, the general contractor, demonstrated utmost professionalism, promptness, and a genuinely kind approach. They were not only punctual in their timelines but also incredibly respectful and communicative throughout the entire process. The creativity and imagination that Berkshire Mountain brought to our design were truly remarkable. Tony and Peter listened to our ideas and transformed them into a beautiful, functional space that exceeded our expectations. Their passion for recreating historically sympathetic builds shone through, providing us with a deeper appreciation for the historical significance and evolution of our barn. This not only helped us appreciate the heritage but also enhanced the value of our home. The craftsmanship of the timber frame work was of the highest quality, showcasing their meticulous attention to detail and skill. While the services were indeed a significant investment, it is clear that Berkshire Mountain does not cut corners. Every aspect of their work is finished to the highest standards, making it well worth the expense. Choosing Berkshire Mountain Design Build was the best decision for our home project, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional design and quality construction.”

“We cannot say enough about our experience with this amazing team during our project! James Dixon Architects (JDA) has brought calm to this building project on Copake Lake from the first moment we spoke to them. It all began when we called their offices and met Valerie after doing some research and looking through portfolios. Valerie is the office manager and such a delight! Following our call with Valerie, we spoke to Jim, Founder of JDA, and took him through our vision. We knew right away after that call with Jim that JDA was the right fit for us. The synergy and feel good moments continued when we met Matt and Jesse who are wonderful architects, collaborators, and visionaries. Their attention to detail, creativity, and ability to execute has been everything we had been asking for. Not only do they listen and implement your ideas, but they were always willing to take us through their ideas to improve the project and maximize the design. We relied on them heavily to understand functionality, new trends, materials, and great design ideas. They have a great vision for the project and continue to amaze us with their creativity. The team continues to coach us through all decisions as their communication is superb. We have felt informed and connected on every step of the building process from bidding out builders, to picking out materials as well as weekly updates from the site. We are mid-way with the construction of our project and we can’t wait for the next steps building and designing together. We move into the lake home in the Fall of ‘22 and know our home will meet all of our dreams. We would recommend JDA to any potential client who is looking for a true collaborator that will hold your hand through a very complicated process and best execute on your vision.”
