Jesse has worked many months on the project of my house in Eugene, OR., an old house whose foundation needed to be redone and the new basement was made into a liveable space after the house was raised. I live in France and Jesse has supervised the team working on the house, has helped me over the months making informed choices or understanding the work being done. He has always been so helpful and knowledgeable, despite his very busy schedule. He was able to always prioritise my needs. He would reply to my email from France right away, despite the 9 hour time difference. He worked diligently with the city of Eugene in order to obtain the many permits that we needed for the project. Jesse is so talented as an architect and the aesthetic outcomes were refined and were met in all possible details. He seems to prioritise these outcomes over profit. “Gail is a very talented architect, a pleasure to work with, and has unusual creativity. We began design of a new home with Gail Hallock, Inc. in April, 2011 after working with a number of other architects for about a year on preliminary designs. It was important to us that the architect understood the project holistically. Most seemed to concentrate on the exterior and not the livability & flow of the interior - requirements important to us. Gail deftly sketched throughout our conversations making sure we were on the same page. She was adept at picking up our 'style'. She does not produce cookie-cutter homes. During construction Gail handled problems adroitly and turned many into an opportunity to take something and make it even better. The creativity that Gail demonstrated with our home amazes me even today, a year after taking up residence. There's not a day that goes by that I don't look at some detail Gail created and think how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to live here. Gail is also one of the kindest people I have come across, plays well with others and was a strong and demonstrative advocate making sure that our home was built exactly as specified and with the correct materials throughout the project. We feel very fortunate to have found her. She does wear some fairly silly hats.”
