Red Knights Construction LLC
Patio Designers in Caldwell County
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsOctober 22, 2021
“We had Red Knights replace three posts that supported our second story deck. It was something that was well beyond my one capabilities but they knocked it out in a few hours and for less than what another contractor had quoted for replacing just one post. They were very responsive and made sure that the work was done right. I highly recommend them for your construction projects.”

“I contacted 5 area businesses to get educated and to obtain a bid for an outdoor kitchen. Mr. Jim Odom, owner of Archadeck of Austin, was far and away the most professional, personable, experienced and responsive. His experience proved to be invaluable. His recommendations were solid. His explanation of all aspects of the process was right on target. His involvement in the project was greatly appreciated. He ran interference, even going so far as to make recommendations as to a color scheme that would go with our backyard. A totally outstanding experience from start to finish. We are ecstatic with the results. Our neighbors have expressed how this kitchen "completes" our backyard. Thanks Jim. Great job.”

“We had a deck (16x10} and a Pergola (12x12) constructed in our backyard. We contacted them because they were building a deck and pergola for neighbors. Jose and crew completed the job in about 4 days. Construction was top notch. We love it. The ATX team were considerate, professional and a pleasure to work with. While the construction was underway, the team provided constant feedback and were willing to accomadate any changes along the way. Highly recommend! Greg”
Hometown Decking and decorative concrete

“Good work. Hometown decking stained our concrete deck-which they built. Our cedar deck, and pergolas x2-which they built. Our fence was not built by them but was stained by them. In addition, an office was built in our garage, and interior painting was done in the office and in our home. Quite a big job, done very well.”

“Mike Perkins of ERS personally did the work on my wooden porch railing which was showing a lot of wear after 25 years. I just wanted the worst parts repaired in order to get a few more years out of it. He understood what I wanted and did what was necessary, The work was completed in about four hours including the clean up. When the time comes to replace the railing I will be contacting Mike again. “I desperately wanted a screened porch attached to my house but husband was worried it would look like we stuck a box onto the house, but one phone call to AOL and he was on board. The porch is fantastic, they worked to stay in our budget, recommended the right materials and size. Everyone asks me where we had it done except those who didn't see the before - they think it was part of the house.”
Centex Decks and Outdoor Living

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 3, 2013
“We hired Centex to replace our existing deck and install three levels of deck around a custom pool being installed by another company. A total of about 1100 sq ft, of decking. Caleb prepared an imaginative design, and helped us with material selection and budget preparation. The only cost overuns were due to change orders( expansions and additional stairs ) requested by us. We received a budget for each change order. The result is a beautiful deck and pool area which has added value to our home and provides a resort like atmosphere for our family and friends.Centex's bid was not the cheapset and not the most expensive. We would not hesitate to use them again and have recommended Caleb and Centex to several of our friends.”

“This was a pretty big project in a downtown historic district. It was hard to find a contractor who even wanted to take on the job to build a 2nd story deck off the back of the house. The first company I called said we were not in their service area. Second company said their insurance would not cover doing a 2nd story deck because it was more than 8-feet off the ground (seriously?). Then I called Massimo at My Deck and Patio and he came out that week to discuss the job and agreed to work on a design for us. This is an old historic house with high ceilings, so the second story deck would be more than 12 feet above the ground level. We wanted a staircase to lead to the yard, but it would have had to be multiple flights due to the height, which would have taken up a lot of space and added a LOT to the cost. I suggested the possibility of a metal spiral staircase and Massimo was all over it. He had done one like that in the past and was able to show me some pictures. Normally such a staircase would have to be custom fabricated, but he was able to find one already built at a local welding shop that was perfect for my project and at a huge discount. He worked that into the design and provided me with several design and material options. I chose a design and we we set up a contract. Then came all the delays to get the design approved by the city Historic Preservation Office and to get the permit from Development Services. Permitting required getting an engineer involved and some design changes. It took almost 3 months to get all the approvals. Massimo handled all of that and it resulted in some extra cost for the contract, but I felt better having an engineer sign off on it and going through the correct permitting process. Finally, the project started. Josey, his carpenter and a helper did the bulk of the work; he worked kind of slow but did quality work. Massimo inspected the progress regularly and made sure any mistakes got fixed. We also had some stone masons involved with attaching a steel beam to the house, and a painter to paint the metal staircase and stain the deck. With some rain delays, it took about a month to finish the project. But it is beautiful and we are very happy with the work. Overall cost of the project was fair for the quality or materials and amount of design and engineering work that was required. We could have saved some money using pressure treated pine, but the look of the western red cedar is so much nicer. I would definitely use My Deck and Patio again and probably will to finish out below the deck with some pavers or flagstones.”
