“In 2015, Lake Living Consultants made my lifetime dream come true - a home built on my family property in Shapleigh, Maine. Tucked in the corner of a field provides the perfect setting to watch wildlife of all kinds, stars at night and catch the breeze as it blows through our open living space! From the first meeting to our last, Tyler and Scott provided wonderful services. From Scott's gift with design to Tyler's natural talent with color and everything that looks great, we were more than pleased. All permits and inspections were done by them which made for a smooth process. The father and son team took a great interest in the project from the start as was evident in deciding the perfect placement of the building. Their attention to detail, use of the best sub contractors and materials made for a great experience! I was particularly impressed with how efficient Tyler was in returning calls, always there to answer a question and help make decisions on everything! They were very flexible in allowing us to interject ideas as we went through the building process. It was wonderful to watch Tyler, whom I've known since he was a little boy, take the lead in the building of our home in such a professional, caring manner. If you want a well built home, choosing Lake Living Consultants will provide you with a wonderful experience! “We chose Sunspace Design over other companies because we wanted a custom sunroom- not a one-size-fits-all outfit that assembles pre-made components. They carefully listened to our wishes, and designed just what we asked for! They custom-build an 18' x 14' Glass Conservatory attached to our home. They also made helpful suggestions to give us a unique room, complete with varnished mahogany ceiling beams and an all-glass roof. Their workmen are professionals with many years of experience- not easy to find these days when anybody with a hammer can call themselves a carpenter. They strategically used cedar in places to assure no rotting wood in the decades to come. When we asked for changes along the way, they had the experience to know how to accomplish it. We also interviewed other sunroom companies, but they could only offer pre-fab units in limited sizes... basically, they were "assemblers" for large franchises- exactly what we didn't want. Sunspace Design builds custom rooms- based on what you want, how you want it, and something that doesn't look like it came from one of the 'Box Stores'. Tom, his son, JT, and their crew were all very qualified professionals, each with many years of experience. We highly recommend Sunspace Design!!!”

My husband, who recently retired, is now putting his home office down there and he loves the space. It is also great when we have all the family staying here over Christmas. “MR Brewer provided construction management and carpentry work for the second floor master bedroom. extention included framing, finish work and project management for the removal of stucco siding (and its replacement) to the entire exterior of the house. Contractor was responsive and fair in it's pricing. Quality work through out. This is the third renovation project MR Brewer has done for me.”

“Among other projects Eric Smith, owner of Oceanside Builders, has done for us over the past twenty-some years, is a dock built for our house in Maine. The existing dock when we bought the house was worn beyond repair and poorly installed. Eric and his crew built us a sturdy new ramp and float dock, over 100' long, out into the tidal cove in front of our house. The trickiest part was building the stairs down the embankment; the old ones had just been laid down on the clay. The new ones are pinned and tied into the bank and are not going anywhere! The quality of work done by this company is of the highest standard. You will find cheaper companies in the area but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. The work they do is done right the first time, the team works well together and with us, They have creative and innovative ideas to make the project better. They rarely get upset by unexpected "challenges" and will work with the client to obtain the desired result. A critical attribute Eric has is knowing the codes of the surrounding towns and the ability to work with the town and government officials in obtaining permits. And if they can't make it as scheduled, they will CALL you to let you know!”

“I hired Classic Building & Design Company to configure shelving in my dining room closet to fit specific needs. I hired them because a couple of years ago they had done extensive work in my 100 year old New Englander which included a new kitchen, two bathrooms and an upstairs laundry room, plus upgrading electrical and heating system. They did a truly great job. Always took time to discuss problem-solving, made sensitive and practical suggestions and listened carefully to my ideas and concerns. The outcome was much better than anything I could have imagined on my own just because they have so much experience and knowledge of available materials.”
