“Becker Home Improvement is my go to remodeler. Most recently, I remodeled most of the first floor of my home, which was an older home that had not been updated in many, many years. This was a big project, revamping the entire kitchen, removing walls, etc. It turned out just the way I wanted it - beautiful! Some specifics: First, I have been very happy with the quality of their work. Absolutely professional . Second, great communication! This is so important, and Randy does it right. He is responsive and great at working through any issues that might come up (as in an older home that might be a little crooked when you take it down to the studs!). Third, his pricing is reasonable and he has always been on budget -- and on time -- for me. Finally, his crew are all great people . Randy has done an excellent job putting together a team where each person is really good at their craft and seems to enjoy what they do. Fully recommend!”

“Their slogan is "Listen, design, build" and they did a great job of that. We did a complete kitchen remodel, gutted down to the studs. All their subs were on time and knew what was expected. The only problems we had were the hidden ones that couldn't be predicted and they dealt with those very professionally and at a very reasonable cost, absorbing a significant portion of that cost. Excellent communication and follow up. Responded to our questions in a curtious manner. Started on time and finished on time with no outstanding issues. NO PUNCHLIST NEEDED!”

So we started out trying to remodel our kitchen and half bathroom before a move. I have never had a good experience with a contractor and went into the project skeptical to say the least. He coordinated with the landscaper we hired (who he recommended) to re-grade our property to ensure water flow away from the home. He also was the general contractor with a plumber who installed drain tile and a sump pump for us. He was professional, respectful, and responsive. They did quality work. “I hired Poulsen Enterprises Inc (PEI) after a tree caused major damage to my home; in effect destroying the entire first floor. I decided to expand into the lot I owned next door, thereby doubling the size of my existing home. Only two rooms remained the same and even they got major facelifts. The project lasted 8 months and there were less than 5 days (excluding weekends) where there was not someone working on the house. PEI works with an established group of subs who do high quality work. They travel as a team so you never have to worry that a sub won't be available when you need them. The subs go the extra mile to make sure the project is done right. From specialized finishes on cabinetry, to details in the finish carpentry work, to matching the stains on the floor with door stains, everyone I interacted with treated me with respect and accommodation. Principal Scott Poulsen worked with my architect to realize the vision of the project, always keeping safety and practical application in mind. He has been doing this for years so really understands how a house works and what needs to be done to have a quality product when finished. I would find ideas and Scott would contact his sources and implement. Everyone in our local community respects the work PEI does so they want to be a part of any project undertaken by Scott. The Project Manager, Mike Mohnanan, was the logistics wizard, keeping everything straight and on time. He was the point person during the finish stage of construction and always looked out for my interests even when I missed things on the final walk-through. When PEI was recommended to me, the term 'honest' came up and I found that to be true beyond a doubt. As a single woman doing this for the first time, this is what I wanted above and beyond all else. However, now seeing how beautiful my home turned out, I see the two characteristics go hand-in-hand. When one is honest and takes pride in what one does, the results show it. It was a year of firsts for me, many of which I would not want to repeat (!), but working with PEI is not one of them. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and know that whatever we undertook would be extraordinary.”
