“As the architects on a custom renovation and addition project, we were very pleased with the work completed by BABA Antique Wooden Floors. This project began as an abandoned oak log cabin on a rural farm in Chatham County, North Carolina. The clients desired a secluded weekend retreat that engaged the site through outdoor spaces and large windows. The design is rooted in the rocky outcroppings of the site and uses natural materials such as recycled pine flooring from BABA and on-site stone for exterior walls. BABA helped us fulfill the desires of the client, providing a high quality interior finish that fit with the aesthetic of building and site. We would recommend BABA for work of this type again.”

Kent’s confidence and professionalism put us at ease during the entire process, from a detailed proposal through a complex project of sanding old floors, cutting in new borders, and installing new floors with several custom patterns. The work was finished on schedule and within our budget. The only surprise was a stunning result that surpassed our expectations. We can enjoy our floors for years to come, and our house will be at a higher price point when it is time to sell.”

“Southern Hardwood refinished my wood floors and I am extremely happy with the outcome. They completed the work as promised including timing, quality, and clean up. James stated that each morning he would begin at 8am and he was there 10 minutes early each day and finished up exactly when he said he would. He promised there would be very little dust after the sanding phase (to which everyone I told said that was unlikely). To my surprise, there actually was VERY little dust. We left all our furniture and electronics out in the area between two rooms being refinished, and there was a minimal amount of clean up required after the sanding. The finished product is beautiful. I can't stop staring at them and have received many compliments. I have already given Southern Hardwood my highest recommendation to several friends and will continue to do so.”

“11.25.2021 Mr. Kirkman was referred to me from another tile company to fix my badly damaged wood floor. The person said that he is "The Right Guy" to do that type of work. Mr. Kirkman did and OUTSTANDING job on the wood floor. The wood board was damaged by heavy furniture that was dropped on the floor causing it to crack and wood splinters were exposed. It looked horrible. Mr. Kirkman came to my house in two hours after that first phone call with all his equipment and fixed the floor like new. He suggested the repair over replacing the entire board in case I was not able to get a good match. He bonded the loose wood (splinters) and they sealed completely, he smoothed out the damaged area, fixed the coloring to match the floor with perfection! I was really impressed. I think Mr. Kirkman saved me a lot of money by not replacing the entire damage board. I thank him for that. He gets a plus 10 in my book and I highly recommend him. Like I said, i was impressed with the outcome of my damage floor. As Mr. Kirkman said before he started the work, "your floor will look pretty again". He was so right, it does look pretty again. You can not tell where the damage spot was. Thank you Mr. Kirkman. I Highly recommended your services! Ms. Samuel”
