Fortunately, the owners of those homes were happy to tell us who the builder was, show us their homes and share their experience of the building process with him. We contracted Tray McCune to build our home in 2011 and were beyond pleased with the results. Tray was very professional, provided us with a very detailed contract, and answered any questions we had. He gave us an approximate start date, completion date and gave us an idea of what to expect throughout the process. They began the build as planned and completed our project ahead of schedule. Most important, Tray builds an excellent product. However, during the building process we found that he not only believes in building a quality product but was consistently a joy to work with, stayed within the committed budget range and provided excellent subcontractors. If we were to build in the future, we would use Tray McCune Homes without hesitation.”

“I purchased a beautiful home both designed and built by Zach Punnett and it is well constructed with many outstanding features. Everything seems to have been well thought out aesthetically in addition to having excellent overall function and flow. There are many great features such as an over-sized multi-purpose room, covered patio, high quality windows, NEST thermostat. Everyone loves the main room with vaulted ceiling, beams, use of rock columns, large kitchen granite island work station that doubles as a table. The kitchen is fun and efficient with well built cabinets and exceptional appliances. I think Zach Punnett did an outstanding job on my home, used quality materials and tasteful color section. He is easy to work with, has a great attitude and is very knowledgeable about construction. Everyone who has been to my home has been impressed with his work.”

“This was the fourth house we have built, and overall, we are pleased with the result. When approaching this project, we had a pretty good idea what we wanted. The Silver Stone design/build team worked with us every step to turn this idea into a home that really fits us. We incorporated a number of personal purchases into our house and Silver Stone was supportive and helpful with these. In addition, when our vision wasn't quite clear, our team was able to provide truly helpful construction and design suggestions that were aligned with both our taste and budget. All that said, custom does not mean perfect--in fact quite the opposite. When trying to achieve a unique product, many unforeseen problems crop up. In our particular case, when things didn't go as planned, the Silver Stone team was professional and responsive. It was stressful at times, but in particular, our project coordinator was a champ at resolving issues. But if we were to do it all again, there are a couple things that could have been done better. First is transparency. Not all of the allowances are clear up front, nor is what they cover. Budgeting is really difficult, especially when some of the things you might like to splurge on are chosen toward the end of the process. Second is careless subcontractors. These folks have little stake in your house or the overall process and it shows in their work and attitude. There's not much oversight of the subs while their work is progressing. Quality control is performed by inspection after the fact. That means extra time and anxiety fixing things that should have been done right the first time. Overall however, we put a lot of time, effort, and sweat into this house--and so did the Silver Stone team. Consequently, our house feels like the home we envisioned. At his point, we have only minor warranty issues and those are being addressed reasonably well. The long term value of our home remains to be seen. But 6 months out, we are happy with our choice of Silver Stone Homes and the outcome of our project.”
