“My wife and I had an excellent experience working with JP throughout our complete home renovation. He was able to complete our total renovation on time (4 months) and on budget. My wife is a pretty decisive person and had a lot of ideas about what finishes she wanted etc. JP would listen and either agree or would offer an alternative that was either more in line with our budget or something he found to be well liked by other homeowners he has worked with. JP was onsite and very accessible. The website he uses allowed me to track the financials on a daily basis. It also allowed us to be involved in the communication between JP and his sub-contractors so we would get real time updates about the status of a particular job. When we were evaluating contractors we were looking for 3 things: 1. Someone with Integrity 2. Someone with Good Communication Skills who is Accessible 3. Someone with Experience We hit a home run with JP. I can't say enough good things about our experience. If/when we build or renovate another home JP will be our guy!”

Description Of Work: Potter House Group built my custom home on the site of of my previous home which was destroyed by fire. Member Comments: ,After interviewing several well-known custom builders (several of whom advertise "custom homes on your lot") we were fortunate to have been given the name Potter House Group. The President of Potter House Group met with us personally and we presented him with a situation that other custom builders who wanted to charge us up to 50% more than Potter House Group. Our situation was that lightning struck our custom home and it had to be razed with the exception of the concrete foundation and garage floor. After an initial meeting to review our plans, site, special conditions and consideration for the level of input we desired, Lee calculated an estimate that was realistic, detailed and SIGNIFICANTLY less than the other big name builders we interviewed. Rebuilding a new custom home in our Township involved a maze of obstacles and required significant expertise in dealing with permits, blueprints, township meetings, neighbors, rules and of course building inspections and sub-contractors. Lee navigated all the obstacles with expertise and professionalism. With the help of Potter House Group and its President, Lee M. Rickey, we moved into our home that met more than all of our requirements due to the knowledge and integrity of our builder. No substandard materials or workmanship was allowed, the process was professionally monitored and we now have the home of our dreams without breaking the bank! We highly recommend Potter House Group and Lee M. Rickey to anyone interested in honesty, timeliness, quality, professionalism and integrity. You cannot go wrong with Potter House Group and its owner Lee M. Rickey.”

We recently built an addition onto our home, a screened-in porch. As someone who had been a vendor of Taylor Homes for so long, it was exciting to be on the customer side of things. From the sales and design step, to the building, all the way to the closing, the communication was spot on, timely and pertinent. The structure was built soundly (according to the inspector) and is sure to bring us years of enjoyment. “We purchased a “spec” house from Stacy Conley. Our new home is well built with many nice upgrades. Obvious care was taken with many of the decor choices such as flooring, lighting, and trim work. Stacy was good to deal with on most issues. We are disappointed with the quality of the appliances. The moving process was made difficult as there was no flexibility with our move in date. A more transparent process of obtaining estimates for contract negotiated items would have been helpful. This was Stacy’s first home that she built and we are happy to recommend her to others.”
