“I met Chris when I was hired to build a custom shower he and his wife had designed. Walking into the near complete renovation project is was obvious Chris had great attention to detail. The tile I installed highlighted other colors in the master suite.... All the trims were fluent throughout the house, color schemes all seemed to work well together. All the hardware used in the kitchen, bathrooms, foyer to even the shower and lighting fixtures complimented each other nicely I thought. I have since done a few more projects with Ambrose Custom Builders and thoroughly enjoy the unique ideas Chris and his team come up with.”

“Unity built a Tradd for us. The house is beautiful and very comfortable to live in. As with any project there have been small issues here and there. The impressive thing has been the way that Unity has responded to them. They have been creative and done whatever it takes to resolve any issue that has come up - even sending out their own staff to take care of problems caused by our contractor (at no charge to us). “I worked with Dupuis Carpentry to have the exterior of my house renovated, including installation of new siding, a wrap-around porch, deck, doors, and windows. I am extremely impressed with the quality of their work, their professionalism, and the timeliness they completed the project in, despite working during an inclement New England winter. They collaborated with me in every detail of the project to ensure I was satisfied and were a pleasure to work with. They were always respectful and trustworthy in my home and were fairly priced for top quality workmanship. I was disheartened to see their hard work destroyed by a fire at my house, but they exceeded my expectations in supporting me since the day of the fire through helping me navigate the difficult insurance process, promptly returning phone calls and emails (even off hours), and helping me every step of the way in redesigning a new home. They have comforted me during this devastating experience and have given me the confidence that I will again have a beautiful home, which I will proudly have built by them. “We have a camp on a lake in NY. The property has two homes which were both in need of major repair. Our first cabin we used a local craftsman, he was good, but was not done in a timely manner and had to come back for a lot of finishes. When we decided to redo our "main" house we chose McKernon and it was the best decision we made. The builders started on time and the project was completed on date agreed upon in the contract. The site was always clean and orderly. The craftsmanship in the cabinetry was top notch. I really can't say enough for the company and employees. If I was going to build again, I would hesitate to call upon them.”

“Albert Cummings was hired as general contractor for the remodeling of our 19th century carriage barn. He and his wife, Christina, contributed a great deal to the pleasure of this project. Starting with an neglected bldg and restoring it to its magnificent state required many, many problem solving tasks. Responsive to our limited budget, Albert and his crew were simply wonderful to work closely on doing the right things. This building, one of the best in our small town, is a wonder to behold in no small part becuase of what Albert brought to the project. Highly recommend him for contracting and for his blues guitar playing. Amazing guy.”
