“These are pictures of our kitchen that we hired Lowes to do for us. I didn't really have a lot of ideas when I came into the store and the whole design team especially Russ and Christina help us by showing us a lot of options. We never felt forced to pick anything we didn't like which is what turned me off from some other places. I was there so often I think I could have worked there! We were also able to do some things ourselves to save money on the instillation (as you can see I didnt paint the door yet in one of the pictures!) which helped us to stay within budget. We are very happy with the products we selected.They will tell you about all the products- the good and bad and allow you to chose what works for you. No home project is without bumps in the road but I couldnt be happier with the Lowes team. When a few issues came up, Lowes did everything to fix it immediately and even ate some of the cost to make things right and get the items without delay. Their contractor Mike worked really hard to get everything in on time and worked around my schedule. He was really informative and did a great job!. Just look at the pictures! It came out great and I would have no hesitation recommending Lowes, Mike and the rest of the team to anyone.”

“This review is long overdue. We own a historic home in Orange County which has needed updates and repairs throughout. In the winter/spring of 2014, after having worked on most things ourselves, we decided to finally tackle the bathrooms but hired a contractor we trusted to do the work. Based upon his recommendation and positive past experiences, we visited Marianne Riviere at FW Webb. The showroom is located near the Air National Guard Base in Newburgh in a warehouse district. We really didn't know what to expect before our visit, having never planned/designed a bathroom (much less gut renovations if one). I should say that my husband is an NYC architect who works on mainly commercial spaces so we had very detailed designs with us when we went to the showroom. That being said, we were pretty clueless on plumbing and certain other bathroom-specific concerns. Enter Marianne. From the moment we walked into her showroom, she greeted us from her desk with just a pleasant hello; acknowledging our existence while still giving us our space/time to look around for a bit before jumping on us. After a couple of minutes she came around to ask if we had any questions. Um, yes, yes we do! We explained the type of home we had, that we wanted something classic that wouldn't feel out of place in an older home but also something that was clean and simple in design. She explained that what we were looking for was considered "transitional." She showed us a few models out on the showroom floor and explained the differences between the different brands/lines in terms of finishes, workmanship, durability etc. It became immediately apparent to us that she really knew her stuff and has been in the business for years. This made us feel completely at ease working with her. Over several visits we'd chosen our plumbing fixtures, medicine cabinet, lighting, extractor fans etc. There were a number of factors we hadn't considered which she brought to our attention and we figured out together. She was very patient with us and a great listener. We never felt rushed or intimidated by her (we did unfortunately experience this at a different place). I was still nursing my daughter while we were planning the bathrooms and Marianne was quick to point out some club chairs they had so that I could make myself comfortable. Renovations can be super stressful, but this part was so painless all thanks to Marianne. She is a shining star in the customer service world and deserves the utmost praise for her hard work. Without a doubt we will be back to see her. I know that anyone who goes to see her will not be disappointed in the least. Thanks so much Marianne!”

“We had our kitchen designed and built by Peter Appelson. We have a small kitchen so our main issue was storage space and counter space. Peter came to us with an incredible design utilizing every square foot giving us so much storage space that we can hardly fill it, yet keeping an open flowing integrated feel. His cabinets are very well built as well as being beautiful. We had told him we wanted a light cherry and the color is perfect. Peter designed a multi level counter/work space for us with a two sided glass cabinet above the counter with interior and below cabinet lighting. This is what you see when you walk into our house and it is beautiful. His open design makes our house feel so much larger. Peter's knowledge, experience and incredible design sense leaves you in trustworthy hands. He implicitly understands how to exploit the space that you have. Because our kitchen is now flowing into our dining room and livingroom, Peter also discussed with us how to more fully integrate all the spaces and helped us to choose the right crown molding and color for our hardwood floors. Peter also understands what is needed when it comes to electrical and plumbing and worked very well with our trades and GC. You can trust him to understand what is needed and he is very flexible and can work with and around any issues that may come up. Peter has a phenomenal work ethic - one thing I want to point out is that he is also very clean. He leaves the work space vacuumed and organized for the next days work. He was also on time with design and installation. Peter wants the design to work for the client. He listens and cares about what the client wants and because of his experience, he understands how to bridge what you want with the space he is designing for. Peter cares about his designs and cabinetry - they are truly a reflection of him. He is truly an artist. We can't recommend him highly enough.”
