“Al, Owen and team did an entire house renovation for our fixer-upper. Our realtor gave us their number because of the great quality of work and after meeting with them once, I was ready to go. It was a 1960's fixer upper we were thinking about buying in our dream location and if Iron Rose hadn't come through, we might not be settled and happy with our location right now. I am an anxious person and was prepared for a HGTV-style reno nightmare BUT I had so much fun working with them! They touched every room and one year later, everything is still perfect. My kitchen is a show piece. Owen refinished our wood floors beautifully. They took down walls, created an office with a double sided fireplace, and made 3 very dated bathrooms shine. They installed appliances and new water-proof flooring where we didn't have hardwood. They communicated so well, anticipated problems, stayed on a very tight timeline and budget and created a dream house. CONTACT THEM NOW!!!”

“We hired Borchert Building to remodel our kitchen and it was the best decision we ever made. Having had very bad experiences when undertaking other home improvements and not really being sure where to begin, we were apprehensive about choosing a contractor. Borchert was recommended to us by a friend ( Glen Haege, America's Handyman ). From the initial consultation with owners, Denise and Bill, and designer, Mari, to the completion of our beautiful kitchen, Borchert Building put us at ease and exceeded our expectations. They were always available to answer any questions, handled any problems immediately ( there were very few ), cleaned up the work area every night before they left, finished the job on time, and were always professional. All of their sub-contractors were also very knowledgeable and professional. Their job foreman, Jim, was amazing. He kept us informed of every step of the project and went out of his way to do little extra things. We love our new kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend Borchert Building to anyone.”

“Advance electric is probably one of the best sources for unique and beautiful fixtures in northern Michigan. The staff is very helpful in selection and are generous with photos, printed information, books, etc for borrowing while you make decisions. They always have some beautiful one-of-a-kind things on sale at great prices or you can order most anything you would want.”

“Ryan is a great General Contractor. My wife and I bought a 'gut job' in 2012 and we hired RYLN to do the work. His work as well as his trades are fantastic; timely, courteous, and most importantly, exceptional workmanship. I had a relationship with a previous contractor that delivered all the nightmares you hear about when dealing with builders. Ryan and his team - never even a concern. “GPH Services removed our backyard deck and existing brick paver walkway and replaced both with a larger, beautiful stamped concrete patio. The owner, Aaron Whittaker, looked at our current deck and made recommendations on size, form, style and color of the new stamped concrete patio. They gave us an estimate on both price and duration and were right on track with both. They removed the old deck and brick pavers, hauled away all the materials, installed the new patio and cleaned up the area when finished. Our yard is enclosed by a fence and difficult to reach with any type of equipment. They were very careful in removing our gate and did not damage the lawn or existing beds. The finished product is beautiful! It has been through two very cold and snowy winters and still looks great. We would definitely hire GPH Services again. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. We appreciated Aaron's insight on the design and are very pleased with the results. We love our new patio.”
