“We were looking for a reasonably priced, eco friendly flooring for our basement with a mid century look. After ruling out Marmoleum (expense) I was trying to decide between an LVT tile or the epoxy flake floor. I had seen it done before in a basement and thought it was really nice. When I found out I could customize the colors and add glitter for a small additional cost I was in. The Alternative Surface solution has proven to be perfect. Erin was very thorough in explaining the process, the workers were fast and did a really nice job. The guys even came back the next day to do one more pass with the buffer without being asked because the surface was a little rough from some of the glitter flakes that were sticking up. The only drawback was that I did not request they seal up the opening to my studio which did end up getting covered in concrete dust. I'd advise anyone having this process done in doors to do so. Also - don't be in the house during the process - very loud and the epoxy smell is intense. The photos don't do it justice - much prettier in person.”
