“Mary Jo was a Godsend to us. When we first contacted her for our full basement renovation including the addition of a bedroom and bathroom, we were under an extremely short timeline. Although I knew making decisions in a short timeframe was far less than an ideal situation, she swooped in and came to our rescue! Her calm and professional approach and valuable input allowed us to efficiently make important and time-sensitive decisions about our remodel including paint color, tile and bathroom hardware selections. We recently started phase two of this project including seeking her guidance on furniture selections and placement and recommendations on things like carpets and window treatments. Now that we are able to work with Mary Jo at a more relaxed pace, we are really benefitting from her deep knowledge and expert input. Her “rules of thumb” are helping to determine the optimal furniture placement. “The first project we hired them for was to build a screened in porch (2006). Attention to detail is what impressed us the most. Not a corner was cut and they took their time to make sure it was done right. Then we hired them to remodel our guest bathroom (2006). We have a house that was built in 1928 and he was able to solve the problems that arose to update the house. Next, we had had a renovation nightmare from a prior contractor and in 2010, we hired VV Contracting again to come and completely rebuild the entire front of our house. Support beams were rotted and he re-supported our second floor and re-faced it. It feels more solid and stable than it ever has. Now, in 2012, we have hired them again to redo our daughters bathroom and our master bathroom.”
