“Alexis designed window treatments for my kitchen and master bedroom. I am so happy with the output! She made the process a breeze and stress-free. I came to her with a few ideas on style and fabrics, and she walked me through what would/wouldn't work in each room. Working with Alexis was the best decision b/c I wouldn't have ended up with the beautiful treatments I have now.”

Blazeks Home Furnishings
Blind Installers in Arlington Heights
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 23, 2015
“My husband and I bought window coverings from Blazek's Home Furnishings a few years ago. We bought Hunter Douglas window coverings, as well as a drape for our patio door. We were so satisfied with the results that we asked them back again to purchase drapes, cornices, and matching bedspreads for two of our bedrooms. Again, we are more than satisfied with the quality of their installations of the window shades, cornices, and drapes. Marilyn Blazek was extremely helpful with bringing drapery samples and helping me select fabric for the drapes, cornices, and bedspreads. Harold Blazek installed everything within a few hours and left no mess behind. My husband and I could not be more satisfied with their work and professionalism. Needless to say, we highly recommend Blazek's Home Furnishings to anyone who plans on buying new window coverings.”

“I worked with Chicago Shadeworks after exploring several options, for 3-4 years, and was unable to make decisions. Mike came in, presented the best and most appropriate product for my needs. He installed the products professionally, explained and inserviced us on the proper use. A very pleasent experience and great product. I would recommend Chicago Shadeworks without hesitation”
Superior View Window Fashions

“My wife and I recently purchased a two-story home in Lake in the Hills. We noticed that most of the homes in the neighborhood had builder grade blinds which weren't very energy efficient or aesthetically pleasing. We had Kyle out for a free in-home consultation where he walked us through the various options and their associated features and benefits. We chose Superior View to outfit our entire house with Hunter Douglas Pirouette motorized shades. These things are amazing - Kyle helped us program them to fit our schedule and provide the perfect amount of light for the various times of the day. They're incredibly versatile and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Everyone who comes by the house absolutely loves them. A+++”
Urban Environments

“I love Urban Environments. It was recommended to me by several different designers. I finally went in to check it out after being hired by a client that had just bought a 3 story house with many bare windows. She was in need of privacy asap. My design style is very earthy, textural, understated and yet elegant. I explained what I was looking for to the owner, Kim. She pulled out a hand full of books that fit the bill exactly. I LOVED THIS. If you are a Chicago designer that is tired of spending hours in the stale air of the Merchandise Mart looking for the perfect fabric, STOP. Go to Kim. She sorted through it all for you and has the best stuff. Kim worked around mine and the client's schedule and handled all the details from measuring to production to install. We had roller shades, roman shades and gorgeous drapery installed throughout the house. We also chose a wallpaper for the bathroom and she handled the measurement, order, delivery and install. When it comes to window treatments there is a lot that could go wrong. Go with an expert! This was a $30,000 project and transformed the look and feel of the entire house the day it was installed. I had another client with a very low budget. We went with woven wooden roman shades. I had her price everything out and then on behalf of my client had Home Depot come to price out something similar. To my surprise the pricing comparison was within a couple hundred dollars and yet Kim offered a better quality and more customized options. My client was also shocked. It was a no brainer, we passed on Home Depot for Urban Remains. It turned out beautifully and again, transformed the whole house. Her pricing is very competitive and of course she works well with designers. She is one! She makes my life easier and I love that. If you are nervous about "custom" window treatments, don't be, she's got this. Also, her staff is great.”
