Our clients never quite loved the aesthetics of the master bath, so when they had water damage from a leaking shower, their heart was not broken. They didn’t like the color scheme and thought the tile and paint could be better quality. They knew they wanted a free standing tub, his and hers vanities, more cabinet space and a walk-in shower without header or front entrance. They weren’t sure if they needed to rearrange the space or not, so using our designers and the 3D renderings really helped them. The outcome was absolutely stunning!

We love this recent grey-tone remodel fit with a larger shower and re-vamped his and hers spaces. The main goal for this space was to provide a better functioning space for our clients while also giving the style and finishes a fresh and updated look. This grey-tone bathroom started as an outdated space that turned into a spa-like serene space. Get all the details below! But first, see what this space looked like before:
Cabinets
The existing cabinets were repurposed and re finished with a grey paint matching Kitchen Craft’s “Cirrus”. This grey finish sets the tone for all the other grey elements in this calming space.
Countertops
The countertop features a 3cm quartz from Caesarstone in a Concrete finish. Incorporating a sleek and high quality product ensures it can withstand splashes from the sink and daily wear and tear. Overall, a wonderful product for the bathroom space!
Backsplash
The tile selection is really what makes a huge impact in the bathroom space. It adds texture, shine, and a little sparkle to the room. The main floor and the interior shower wall features a 12×24 Spark Smokey Glimmer from Daltile. The shower floor features a 1×1 Uptwon Glass Matte Frost Moka from Daltile. Lastly, as an accent splash by the vanities, shampoo box, soap box, and exterior shower fall features a mosaic Gem Pearl Sea Cave from Interceramic.
Fixtures and Fittings
The plumbing fixtures in this space are bronze finish that gives a subtle glow to the space. From Delta we have the Vero shower diverter, shower control, and sink faucets in a Champagne Bronze finish. From Dryden we have a handheld shower head in Brilliance Champagne Bronze. Lastly, from Kohler we have Vox Square vessel sinks in White.

The master bathroom remodel was done in continuation of the color scheme that was done throughout the house.
Large format tile was used for the floor to eliminate as many grout lines and to showcase the large open space that is present in the bathroom.
All 3 walls were tiles with large format tile as well with 3 decorative lines running in parallel with 1 tile spacing between them.
The deck of the tub that also acts as the bench in the shower was covered with the same quartz stone material that was used for the vanity countertop, notice for its running continuously from the vanity to the waterfall to the tub deck and its step.
Another great use for the countertop was the ledge of the shampoo niche.

We designed a custom vanity to look like a piece of furniture but built it int. A metal mirror repeats the pattern in this vinyl floor. A wide-spread faucet is used in a dark finish. The finish is repeated in the light, cabinet hardware, and towel accessories. White trim frames the floor and walls nicely.

Master Bathroom revenovated to become bright while and spacious. Using the existing white vanities, we topped them with a white and grey quartz countertop. Adding The light warm wood cabinets to each side of the sink allows for optimal bathroom storage and also a breath of warmth that the bathroom desperately needed. The large mirror and Chrome fixtures added a touch of metal to the space which allows the Turquoise backsplash glass tile to vividly shine through. The freestanding tub sits on a dark porcelain tile platform, light roman shades cover the windows and a chair sits as sculpture.

This crisp, bright Master bathroom once had a cultured marble built-in tub, an enclosed shower, an unused seated make up area at the vanity and no door going into the bedroom. We demoed the shower and tub and started over! The Signature Hardware Leith freestanding tub opened up and updated the bathroom immensely. We installed Vicostone Statuario bathroom counter tops and all new Quality cabinets with a cotton paint. We opened up the once enclosed shower by demoing the full wall into a pony wall and installing glass to the upper portion, along with a frameless glass door. Naos Blanco 12"x24" large tile was used for the majority of the shower walls with a feature using 3"x6" Biltmore marble subway tile installed vertically creating a wow factor for this once dark enclosed shower. The shower floor is the same Biltmore tumbled polished tile but 2"x2" square. The existing glass in the three windows behind the tub were changed for a more updated look. We added new lighting, mirrors and polished chrome faucets and hardware that really brighten up the space even more. BANDD DESIGN
Designing a kids bathroom isn't always the easiest - especially when its a shared space between a brother and sister! We wanted this bathroom to appeal to both of their tastes while utilizing a design that won't need to be updated anytime soon! Lively pops of deep teal from the vanity and wallpaper were paired with subtle pastel pinks on textiles and hardware. Brass finishes and wooden accents balance out the colorful design and create a cohesive style that suits the kids and parents!
Designed by Sara Barney’s BANDD DESIGN, who are based in Austin, Texas and serving throughout Round Rock, Lake Travis, West Lake Hills, and Tarrytown.
